Yeah, this one hurts. He was a monster who wrote some of THE best riffs in metal. Raining Blood? Nothing touches that riff. That is easily the ultimate thrash riff.

Seasons in the Abyss was the album that inspired me to pick up a guitar. I'm going out to a couple shitty local metal shows* in his honor tomorrow night.

It DOES suck. And I don't know what's going to happen with Slayer now. :sad:

I mean, how do you replace somebody like that? You CAN'T. Best we can hope for is just OK. It's not going to be like it was.
