Enturb did a ton of heavy lifting early on, by the time it went to WWP it was mostly broadcasting protest dates and assorted idiocy. Now it's just the latter, although I did my best with the production studio.

But even outside of the forums, I think that the reason Anonymous has taken off so hard is because, essentially, it makes the promise that the revolution will be crowdsourced.

That rings a bell. I think it was a forum that some Adbusters guy set up specifically for Occupy, and then took it down after. It was pretty cool though because it was up and running before Occupy had a name, and there was that sense of mystery and anticipation as it developed.
