Title: YARGANARG!!!

http://www.fixthefamily.com/blog/6-reasons-to-not-send-your-daughter-to-college

QuoteAs for the husband leaving her, the possibility of being left in such a state would make a woman MUCH more careful about the man she decides to marry.  Think about it.  If you know you're throwing your COMPLETE trust and future on a man, you'll want one you can certainly rely on.

QuoteProbably the most controversial and rejected position we have at Fix the Family is that parents should not send their daughters to college.  It is even more vehemently opposed than the submission of wives to their husbands.  Both of these positions we have are a threat to the trophies of the feminist agenda, so the rejection we receive is always emotionally charged and ends up insulting, since once explained logically, the opposition runs out of substance and is only left to hurl insults (1)and presume and misconstrue this practical wisdom into some chauvinistic evil.  But to distinguish these 2 issues, we are NOT saying that sending a girl to college or women working is a sin.  But after looking at the issues we raise, we would challenge anyone to convince us that college for girls is not a near occasion of sin.(2)  In order to fore go further discussion (argument) on the issue of college for girls, this article will outline the principal reasons for shunning college for girls.

Before getting to those reasons, first let's deal with some of the common objections that are received when this issue is raised (FAQs):

You don't believe in educating women.  False.  College and education have very little to do with each other.  College has become more of a training ground for a job.  Let's be clear:  college graduates receive a diploma, not necessarily an education.  Many wise people in years past obtained great educations by seeking knowledge from books and good material.  Today, anyone can learn anything they want with the vast library system across the country and with the easy access of the internet.  So the real reason girls go to college is for a degree, not an education.  I strongly believe girls and women should be educated, first and foremost in the Catholic faith(3).  If we look COMPREHENSIVELY at the Catholic doctrine, we'll see very little that promotes a woman working outside the home.  Further a good working knowledge of the basics for today's culture and progressive society can be learned in 12 years of school.  Politicians say that 12 years is not enough today, but that is because of a failed corrupted education system.  Homeschooling parents can educate their children in 12 years.  College may be necessary for the provider of a family depending on the vocation God is calling them to or for those who are called to the Priesthood, both of which are intended for men.
1- Mentally swore for the first time.
2- Vocally expressed my disgust
3-Fucking hell. Will try and get through this when less angry in general.

And then, when he dies from heart failure after years of cassaroles you can trust that your daughter's deeds will be rewarded by her community doing their best to provide for her.

Ha.

HA.

HAAAAAAAAAH.

Growing up as a JW college was basically verbotten for men and women. Now, they've changed and support both... however, they still stress it as a way for the woman to be able to help support the family under the guidance of her husband.

I'd feel shame but the whole thing drips with such idiocy that's just not going to happen here.

I love the occasion of sin for parents in number 6.

If you send your daughters to college, you may make fewer babies!!!

QuoteRaylan Alleman has been married to his wife Missy (the former Melissa Falgoust) since 1990, and they currently reside in South Louisiana where they were both born and raised in Catholic families and are enjoying a joyous and fruitfully fulfilling marriage. As proof, they have 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls, born from 1991 to 2007, so they are currently in the thick of parenting. Missy has been a stay-at-home mom since they were married, and they are homeschooling all of their children. He is raising his family to be 100% loyal to the Holy Father as Pope of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and to be strong defenders of the Faith. Much of their family activity outside of their home is centered around the Church parish and related Apostolates. He provides for his family as a Certified Public Accountant, operating a small practice from an office right in front of his home, setting his own hours to be with his family. They also invest in real estate as a family venture. He is also a passionate distance runner for 26 years now in distances from 5K to half-marathon.

QuoteMissy has been a stay-at-home mom since they were married

...so she had a kid when they got married and he "lifted her out of sin"? Or what?

Ah, I see. It's a case of "We did this and it seems to have worked so EVERYONE ELSE must do as we do or SINNING".

There's a story here in a few years. Him being gay, Her killing him, kid commiting suicide or something. It's almost inevitable.

I wonder if she's allowed to be physically fit as well, or if fitness is occasioning too close to sin for women.

This reminds me of a few years back I was trying to find a build your own lightbulb kit for a science fair thing that my company does for middle school girls.  I looked and found the cheapest site.  I'm about to get approval for order when I noticed something fishy, it was under /boys.  So I looked at the menu, sure enough there were all these science kits for boys.  Went to the girls section and it was cookbooks.  Went to something or other about gentleman's honor and it had confederate soldier as a example.  It had interview with the Duggars.  I'm trying to find the damn site.

So anyway, I got the kits from teachingsource and not that place.

Funny thing, I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic school and they were pretty adamant on women going to college. This is hardly any piece of doctrine. Just men who seemed to have taken Paul of Tarsus too seriously.
