Sooo short version here. I'm having issues with a friend of mine that makes me want to scream and break things just generally go berserk. It's almost like my stomach acid is trying to crawl out of my stomach and strangle her. However I don't really have the time or energy to deal with screaming at her and dealing with the mess. So I'm going to ignore to her, because I've given up on her long term. So suggestions on venting some venom without taking it out on people would be great.

I have learned through hard experience that putting a problem off is only going to make it worse. Which in itself is not always a bad thing, come to think of it.
How bad is it right now? I mean, some level of detail is required here. If you've given up, then just walk the fuck away, forget she exists. But it doesn't sound like you've given up, because you're still pissed off.

Go running. You'll be too tired to be angry.
She's my roommate, and was more for a bit. Now she's someone else's which would have been fine if she hadn't been kind of shit about it. I've been letting her stay rent free since she was in a bad spot and we've been friends for about 7 years or so. She was still on a lease in the last place she was so she was supposed to start paying me rent when her lease was done up there. found out she lied and told her old roommate that she was paying us rent but didn't and pocketed the cash.

This. Deal with the anger by doing something energetic and constructive, and cut her out of your life.
Does she have a drug problem, by any chance? Because that's pretty weird behavior.
Step 1: Get trash bag
Step 2: Put her belongings in trash bag
Step 3: Put trash bag on the curb

I'd love to walk away, but I'm the one with the house. She's still in my house. I'd like to kick her out, but when she first moved in I told her if we didn't work out I wouldn't give her the boot, which in hindsight was pretty dumb. I don't really want to break my word, but I don't want her around either. Thankfully she spends 3/4 of her time at her new BF's place so I don't have to see her.

The rent thing is a whole lot more than "we didn't work out". I would call her on it and see what she has to say.

She drinks a bit. She also only works minimum wage so her being broke is a given. There's also some other crap going on, but it's not directly relevant. I don't blame her for splitting of with me, there are some wierd circumstances. I blame her for lying all over the place.

What's "working out" got to do with "rent"? She lied to you. Any implicit agreements are thus voided.
Throw her ass to the curb, cut off all contact. Unless you've just become some sort of weird masochistic charity organization.

I found out about the rent thing in a pretty underhanded snoopy manner. I didn't start snooping till she got weird, but I still feel guilty about it.
Well, it's pretty obvious you aren't going to do anything about this now.
Please do keep us informed. Many of us have gone through this exact sort of thing many times, and we don't feel as dumb if other people do it.
Also,

Oh this is gonna go down well, I can tell.
Good luck. I mean it.
I think I'm going to ask her to pay rent starting on the first and see if she lies again. If she doesn't want to pay rent (I'm expecting her to lie again) tell her she has 30 days, at which point she'll probably move in with her boyfriend. Which ought to be hilarious since he watches MMA and football and she's more of a nerdy warcraft playing kinda girl. Still hot enough to make all the guys fall for her though. At that point I'll be eating the popcorn.

That sounds like a very fine and level-headed plan that should work out just fine, I hope!
