Post by: Mesozoic Mister Nigel on November 18, 2013, 09:55:22 PM
Wow, so I downloaded the Blippex tool for Chrome and it WON'T UNINSTALL. Plus it throws some seriously dirty lag on me. Anybody run into this?

Haven't used it, only one reference to removing it on the google frontpage

"To uninstall the plugin on Chrome you just have to make a right-click on the Blippex-Logo in the toolbar and select "uninstall", on Safari & Firefox you have to go into the settings and then into the "addons" section and remove it there."

Yes, I did that, and it proceeds to disappear and then come back the very next time I start Chrome. It's pissing me off.

Does it just open as a new tab or does it do other stuff?

If its a new tab then it can be removed chrome > settings > on startup > open a specific page or set of pages and remove it from the list.

No, it only appears as an icon next to the navbar.

Ouch, I'd check if it's listed in the chrome extensions, if not... after that I'm not sure. I'd try find where it added itself and manually remove it.

I think I finally got rid of it, but I'm not exactly sure HOW.
