Title: How easy is it to troll goths?

Apparently very, if the mounds of butthurt in the comments are any indicator.

Goths are the original emo kids.  Remarkably easy to troll.

Always.

In any case, with the exception of "all ages clubs", it is absolutely pathetic for anyone older than 29 years old to be in any club.  Even as the bartender.

I've been to a couple of goth nights. I just figured that it was a club for middle aged people, based on the clientele.

It was interesting people watching.

We have the Club Congress in Tucson, which is an all-ages joint (meaning 80% of the patrons are over age 30).  Anyone can go to those.

But Goth after 30?  Not gonna say "automatically ridiculous", but it's definitely Robby the Robot waving his arms around, screaming "DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!"

Ah. I usually interpret "all ages" as "the bar is either nonexistent or off in some other part of the property, so the kids can see the show". Thanks for clearing that up.

Jesus Christ, you're still allowed to go out and have FUN.  The only question is whether or not you're trying to drop the mac hammer on 22 year olds.

I used to go to the Paris Theatre w/ the ex, back when I lived downtown & they had "Goth nights".

Favorite "Goth" regular ever?

60+ year old white, balding veteran, who would constantly wear Aloha shirts, and glows-under-blacklight shorts and rubber slippers. And he would dance onstange in between the brooding, stomping kids.

That's generally what it means here, unless the band has an older following. If they do, then they tend not to play those places. But once in awhile it happens.

In Tampa we had a few. Apparently they STILL go to the Castle. Chester the Molester and The Senator.

We never actually knew if the Senator was actually a senator at any time, but he was a middle aged man (10+ years ago) wearing a woman's neglige and usually black socks and dress shoes.

OH! And the Peter Pan guy.

Not doable at the place I went to a few times. They had a dress code. Had to look goth, or something gothesquequeque. They wou;dn't let you in if you had a Red Sox hat on.

Though, that bit specifically was due to the fact that it's on the same block as Fenway Park, and sports fans would ruin the ambiance and take the place over.
