... will be impossible because gasoline will be too expensive to waste on Molotovs.
I doubt it. What I can see, is protesters getting a lot more economical with the tools left at their disposal. Cars won't get burnt out until the fuel has been siphoned off. The tyres/seats will get stripped to make makeshift shields and furniture.
Also, never underestimate an angry person's ability to find a flammable substance to stick in a bottle and set on fire. I can think of a couple of alternatives that are easily accessible and would do the job at least as well.

Me too. And i am sure we are not thinking about exactly the same ones. That is just two unmotivated people thinking for half a second. Imagine what hundreds to thousands of very motivated angry people could come up with.

One word: biofuels
Is that one word?
Organic revolution

Rubbing alcohol with broken styrofoam stirred in.
Thermite.
OK, it sucks as a molotov cocktail replacement. Can do massive damage though.
Hells, a can of deodorant and a lighter becomes an improvised flamethrower.
What I'd be more worried about realistically, would be idiots improvising chemical weapons. With a little knowledge the local supermarket can become a very, very dangerous place.
3D Printed Guns
E/O/T
Or if you can't afford a 3D printer, just fudge it.

I have a real fondness for weaponry that is just as likely to harm you as it is others.
Does that thing actually work?
For a given definition of "work" certainly.
There's been a ton of articles on this chap, there's plenty kicking round on youtube for those with an interest.

What the fuck is "Lithium Metal"? Seems quite important cos the rest of that shit, without it, is just going to smell kinda chick-magnet

If I recall correctly it was stripped from batteries in this instance. The objective was to assemble weaponry in a bathroom stall sized space in under 10 minutes from objects that can only be bought after security checks.
You're really only limited by your imagination here. Humans have never had difficulty finding a way to cause harm to people and property.
well, i was thinking of a different direction of thread at start, but this works too :lulz:
what i vaguely wanted to do was just a type of "one sentence stories" about how a different context in the future would condition the means for revolution, and the idea of revolution - but idk, maybe i just killed the joke by explaining, not like it was exactly a joke.
Revolution in the future will happen because Facebook has too many characters allowed and the people are outraged they have to scroll more to see more posts.

See, people say there are no benefits to sock puppet accounts... but they are good for setting a tone, if that's what you're after.

He just means Lithium, it combines with water to make hydrogen gas.
Quote from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LithiumLithium (from Greek: λίθος lithos, "stone") is a chemical element with symbol Li and atomic number 3. It is a soft, silver-white metal belonging to the alkali metal group of chemical elements.
(...)
Lithium reacts with water easily, but with noticeably less energy than other alkali metals do. The reaction forms hydrogen gas and lithium hydroxide in aqueous solution.[
This will expand and could go boom under the right conditions but I'm not sure what the deodorant is doing there. Maybe the deodorant is the trigger/ignition but i don't see how that would work.
