Like 5 years ago, I posted in a Reddit thread "Tell us your best larp story" -- a radio producer dug up that post, e-mailed me, and asked me if I'd tell the story on her show. Months later, it finally aired!
This took place when I was 19, it involves a crazy road trip, murder, and .... I won't spoil the ending, but it was surreal :P

I tried the link and got "SSL connection error".
I feel cheated.
weird! Well you can probably find it in your podcast player... the show is called Snap Judgment. The episode title is Snap #918 - Beyond Belief - I'm the second story, about 20 minutes in.
Found it!
Will listen shortly.
Here's the link I found

You're the first story. It's a cool story! I think you owe Someone a solid. Lost in the woods in winter, no real sense of direction, you just pick a direction at "random", boom ass saved by humble servants of God wondering who this funny dressed fellow might be... yeah. The Great ST likes you.
The second story in the podcast is totes worthy of a listen too. I teared up just a hint. "To make the impossible choice between Love and Love." There's a bit about the "prophet" Joseph in there too that I always liked. The Islamic portrayal of him adds a lot of depth. That particular story is very near to my heart, maybe even archetypal to my being. One day here I should do "the real story" about it. You know, fill in the deets and make a few minor "corrections".
Anyway your story and your telling I give 5 out of 5 stars. Will probably listen again!
Ha... That was awesome, I would like to think that either the Amish went home to fortify against the bandit camp, or that they themselves might take part the next time it was on.
You have a great way of telling the stories and a voice for radio have you ever considered doing podcasts yourself?
