Yeah, I'd recommed American Gods too.His older books are worth checking out, but that one's the best.

Have fun. The bookstore I went to today (and yesteday, but it was closed then) didn't have either Illuminatus or anything by Peter Carroll. I'll find them eventually and I have too much to read already, but it sets back the chaos a bit. Maybe I'll have to make up for that in some other way.

In fact, read anything and everything of his you can lay your hands on. I have yet to find anything he thought was worth publishing that wasn't well worth reading.

found both neverwhere and american god to be a tad dull.  okish but not more. sandman is also quite okish but never compares to the likes of moore, morrison and sometimes ellis.
