This infamous incident happened during a concert at the New Haven Arena, New Haven, Connecticut. Backstage, prior to Jim's arrest, the arresting officer had sprayed him with mace. And, while this was not Jim's most notorious arrest, it was a harbinger of things to come.

On December 16, 1773, the Boston Tea Party was thrown by the Sons of Liberty
At this particular party, those rowdy, party animal Sons of Liberty, some having culturally appropriated the then in style fashion of Native Americans, intentionally misbehaved and threw an entire shipment of the British East India Company's tea into Boston Harbor.
In spite of the tea actually being corporate property, the British government overreacted, and labeled the party's festivities an act of treason. Ultimately, that did not turn out well for them. So, karma.

I remember reading that the lead singer was unaware when he chose the name that it was used to mean bisexuality, but amused when he found out.

The Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer was the first programmable, electronic, general-purpose digital computer. Other computers had combinations of these features, but the ENIAC had all of them in one computer.
ENIAC was huge, taking up a 1,500-square-foot room. It was made up of 40 panels arranged in a U-shape along three of the room's walls. Along with the panels, which were each 8 feet high, 2 feet wide, and 2 feet deep, the machine included 70,000 resistors, 17,000 vacuum tubes, 10,000 capacitors, 1,500 relays, and 6,000 switches. ENIAC ran constantly to extend the life of its vacuum tubes, and it generated large amounts of heat. The room had to have its own air conditioning system to keep the computer from overheating.

I agree, there is a lot of exceptional music out there. And, I do listen to more than just rock 'n' roll.
For what it's worth, the choices I make for my posts in this thread are subjective. But, I'm not attempting to post something in this thread every day. And, I'm not attempting to post about significant events that have occurred on most days of the year. I simply, occasionally post about stuff I have an interest in, and/or find amusing.
Anyway, rock 'n' roll is the musical genre I most identified with as a boy, and I still enjoy it today. When discussing the "comparative status" of rock 'n' roll artists, I reserve the title of
Rock God for only the very best. And, I also admit, my opinions about who are "the very best" are highly subjective. But, somewhat similar to the attitude of our former First
Escort Lady Melania Trump, I really don't care all that much if people disagree with my opinions about rock 'n' roll, because the discussions themselves are usually fun.
