Wow Rog.  Wow.

For some reason the only thing I can think of now is the song from the Lion King - "It sure feels good to be king."

Sorry to hear that Pedro's in jail for a while, though.

1. Roger has said things like this before.
2. I don't believe what I read on the InterWeb.

He should be able to get it dropped down to aggravated assault.  DA's like to start with the worst case senario, and pile on all the charges possible.  If you guys were in Michigan, I might be able to help, but, good luck.  That is, assuming this is a true story.  It is plausible, I have seen stuff like this.  Except, that the person did not have the patience to drop the cue and go for his knife, just hit him in the head with the stick.  Still, a guy I knew lost part of his ear that way, but it was a bar fight, between people of the same race, so no charges were filed.

no, seriously.

that's my take on it, anyway.

I don't think any of us (or anyone else, for that matter) is a "real" discordian.

we're not capable of it. it goes against human nature to be like that all the time. at best, we're blessed with the ability to occasionally see the world from that perspective, but the only people who see it like that all the time are generally locked up for being criminally insane.

whatever the discordian version of "sunday christians" is, that's what we are.

personally, I'm OK with that.

Well, I suppose it comes down to what the end purpose of Discordianism is, I suppose.

For me, it boils down to self-imposed reality grids, the Eristic and Aneristic Illusions, the elevation of the Creative over the Destructive, Laughter, and that we are all Free.

And just like even Johnny Cash couldn't follow Christ's teaching all the time, none of us can always be awake, watching out for hidden Illusions and jumped conclusions.

But we tend to be more aware of them.  And we often know better than to take our convictions too seriously.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't take your gf to "chick" flicks
because the romance is too over the top and you suffer in comparison
and it leads to less sex. The best films for sex are thrillers or horror
movies. Anything that gets the heart pumping.

That was probably in Men's Health, a subscription to which my friend
(the one who introduced me to my gf) gave me for Christmas. It's all
about tooling yourself up to get more sex. One way or another.

Sounds like a typical men's rag.  Sorry, Mister the Gnome...chick flicks make many women want romance.  Give them that, and you're set.

Actually I learned the same thing in Psych 101.  It has to do with the stress hormones that get released.  Fear and sex produce the same chemicals in the body.  It is the brain that decides what they mean.

Not sure about chick flicks, they mostly make me wanna hurl    Or cry, which pisses me off, so more

You know...I was thinking about this post... (I wasn't thinking very hard)

It would've been funnier if, when Mr. Inbred Redneck asked Pedro if he was going to shit his pants... Pedro actually shit his pants, reached into his pants, and slapped Mr. Inbred Redneck with said shit.

I didn't know Pedro and I haven't read any of his posts but I think he would agree.

Plus I think shit-slapping carries a lighter sentence than de-earring someone.

Yeah, but it's pretty easy to get stabbed in the gut or punched in the face while smearing shit on someone . . . sort of leaves you open for all sorts of nastiness.

Also, Pedro is kinda hardwired.  Push button A, get result B.

That's too bad, at least he's insane and connected though.

I try to involve shit when solving most of my confrontations, even the most gnar-looking guy could be a shit-o-phobic. Most people are for some reason.
