Title: Scrabballah
Post by: Iron Sulfide on July 22, 2005, 01:51:18 AM
Hey L, and Mangrove... had some ideas for a kaballah book...

PM me about it.
**************************************

Scrabballah

okay, so i got bored and thought of "Scrabballah" one day.

a Kabbalic system of interpretation based off the board game,
Scrabble.

it seemed prime for infestation, seeing that it already has a letter-number
type relationship. i'm breaking this into multiple posts for easy reading.

here's the Gematria key for scrabballah:

ABC     #     Qty          ABC     #     Qty
A        1      9          N       1       6

B        3      2          O       1       8

C        3      2          P       3       2

D        2      4          Q       10      1

E        1      12         R       1       6

F        4      2          S       1       4

G        2      3          T        1      6

H        4      2          U        I      4

I        1      9          V        4      2

J        8      1          W        4      2

K        5      1          X        8      1

L        1      4          Y        4      2

M        3      2          Z        10     1

                      BLANK         0     2

more in coming posts

examples of gematric value:

K A L L I S T I
5 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

this equals 12, ergo Kallisti in Scrabballah Gematria is 12...

Rules of ...umm...Interpretation?[

okay, so there's less rules and more suggestions.
i find, personally, that when you intentionally restrict yourself, you are
simply FORCED to innovate and be creative.

so these are some Guidelines for Scrabballah reductions, etc...

Rule of 2 & 3

if a Number can be divided by 2 or 3 , that is permitted.
these permutations will be reffered to as Number¬? and Number¬?, respectively (that should be subscript, al a linguistics..)

this rule demonstrates the "double" and "triple" spots on the board.

these are not considered Dividends, though, but multiples. a Number(1)
that is divisible by 2, for example is called a "Double Number¬?", likewise
"triple" with numbers divisible by 3.

Reduxtions

reduxtion rules by numerology in general are appropriate; adding,
subtracting and multiplying (divisions are only permitted by the rule of 2 & 3)

for notation purposes: Subscript will start with '4' for the permutations...
i.e. Number(4) is a redux permutation of Number(1).

Addition: subscript preceeded with a '+'
Subtraction: Subscript...     "-"
Multiplication: Subscript....  "x"

now the example:

T H E L E M A
1 4 1 1 1 3 1

Thelema equals 12. thus would be the permutations;
Number (1) = 12

Number¬?= 6 (12/2=6)

Number¬?= 4 (12/3=4)

Number(+4)= 3 (1+2=3)

Number(-4)= N/A (1-2= -1...)

Number(x4) = 2 (1x2=2)

more later on with regards to casting and whatnot...

go for it man.

it's a work in progress as of this post, but hey.

i googled scrabballah the other day just to see if there was anything
out there.

someone at least came up with casting the scrabbal tablets like runes.

innovative, but not to elaborate. this post will have been longer than their
total elaboration of scraballah. poser.

i've got some methods of use (generating raw random data) that i'm working on
and working the kinks out of. i'll post as i polish.
