Probably all here who care already know about this, but...
There's a truly insane programming manual (that teaches Ruby (http://www.ruby-lang.org/), a language which I happen to like for practical reasons as well):
Why's (Poignant) Guide to Ruby (http://www.poignantguide.net/ruby/)
It actually teaches programming, while containing images like these:

If you hate programming, this guy has other cool random stuff at http://whytheluckystiff.net/. One of my favorite writers.
:?
While I found the book to be slightly too, eh, well, I don't know. But I do like the language.
I thought it was hard to actually learn from, too. But the "elf with the pet ham" and "space travelling doctor" chapters were awesome.
As I already knew the language reasonably, I didn't actually read much of the book. Did I miss anything?
There are a lot of jokes and actual plot buried in the non-graphical material. It really does feel VERY Discordian to me.
