Title: Chain Dancing (Video)
Post by: Kaienne on September 26, 2007, 04:16:41 am
I was busking in Kensington Market in Toronto (playing harmonica), when some guy took my picture from across the street. I flagged him down and gave him my email address so he could send it to me, and while he was there he took a few more photos and a video of me and my new chain.

I've been dancing for awhile now, but I only just first started practicing with chains a week or two prior to the video being taken.

Check out the guy in blue.

He stops because someone is in his way and swinging around a chain. He don't wanna get hit so he waits patiently.

(http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb163/wompcabal/dancingapoyteawot.jpg)

then eventually, when he realizes it isn't going to stop, he crosses the street.

good move, buddy.

I think I need to get all of them eventually, actually. I'm working my way up to Whirlwind Attack; since a chain is a reach weapon, I'll be able to strike all enemies within a 10ft radius once per round.

And what if I'm being an outlandish jackass to get you to make jokes at my expense, 'cos it's really really fun, and you're playing right into my game?
Toronto Libraries have computers, wa ha ha.

to be brutally honest--

You're member #3129571 to come here and claim that they're intentionally trying to annoy the STFUPID cabal to get a rise out of us.

I'm absolutely serious, and I bet if our search function worked you'd be able to see that getting pissed on by PD.com and then claiming that you did it intentionally is well worn territory.

Your approach (the "in your face about my gender" approach) isn't even new. As you know, we have several posters with abnormal gender identities. As far as I can tell, nobody thinks twice about it because as a group the STFUIPID cabal is fairly accepting of people who live in the fringes. Which is why you got heat for the "Am I a boy or a girl? Woah I just blew your mind!" attitude. been there. done that. preaching to the choir. *yawn*

To get you up to speed, Saratoga Springs is the hometown of a particularly annoying troll who pulled it off much, much better than you.

But hey, if you're having fun "trolling us", have at it. Frankly, many of us find it boring (that's why there are such colorful reactions). Look up The Lamanite. Or Bogus Magus. Both of them started off with potential, but ended in a downward spiral of :emo: because they stopped participating and started antagonizing.

If that's honestly how you want to be on this board, save us all a couple thousand keystrokes and fuck off. If you want to hang around and participate, do so. We are actually somewhat forgiving... to a point.

Just remember, the meme "Black Sheep are Still Sheep" is one that resonates strongly in these parts.  There's a reason for that.  And honestly, when it comes to the internet, thinking about what one is like IRL is always a bit of a shot in the dark.  (e.g. the joke about Suu being a 40 year old balding man).  In the end, who the fuck cares?

It should be understood that these personas we put up here are limited representations of the real person.  It is a waste of our time to make judgements beyond the collection of consonants and vowels that we set before each other.

and you're playing right into my game?

You're the asshole that follows around a dog saying "wag your tail... ok, now sniff that pole.... good, now walk away from me..." just as it's doing those things.

You are not some sort of Machivellian social puppet master.

With the above phrase you officially boarded the Lame Train.

I remember writing a very similar post some years ago to the legendary 'Voice Of Truth' who got really mad because the board were not avid Bush supporters.

Anyways, future message to all people who want to prove how 'fringe' they are.

IF YOU ARE POSTING HERE REGULARLY, YOU'RE ALREADY ON THE FRINGE. SO RELAX FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

When I came here, I made a few mistakes. I misjudged the target audience and got laughed at for it. I fucked up and deserved to be made fun of. This is over with. But then I started trying to be a normal poster and people were still being dicks to me over the mistakes I had made. Eventually I got sick of trying to be mature to no avail, so I just started posting lame shit on purpose. I've tried to impress upon everyone over and over the junction that, if people are nice to me, I'll be a good poster and post good things and not make an ass of myself. But as long as I can't win either way, I'm not going to bother being a constructive member of the board.

You are tying too hard to impress and be accepted by people you only know from the Internet.

Post what you want, if it's good you'll get some mittens and the post probably won't go past two pages.  If it sucks you'll be mocked and ridiculed for a couple of weeks minimum.

1 - i can't really tell if somewhere among those words is an apology for telling me i don't matter when i don't want to jump through your pseudo-grammatical hoops. because, apart from being a great target for making fun of, changing the pronouns in a language is something that seriously bugs me and when i tried to start you a discussion about it, all reply i got is "you don't matter to me"

2 - what *are* you looking for, here? seriously? looking to be accepted by a bunch of discordians? is not gonna happen, they stick apart too much. stop trying.

But... I like acting. I always act. Actually, now that I'm going to have a place to live soon, I'm going to collect a few outfits, each distinctly different from one another, and invent an entire personality for each outfit. Not even to fuck with people or anything... Just 'cos it's a lot of fun for me.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for here. I guess I just recognize that, abraisive though they may be, the people in this forum typically range from Smarter Than Average to Damned Brilliant. A hyperintelligent shade of blue (one of his nicknames was 0033cc) once said to me "One of the greatest things you can do to improve the quality of your life is to surround yourself with good people to the furthest extent this is possible." In the spirit of this, I feel like I may improve as a person by associating with you lot.

Roger,  please stop blessing my loins.

1.  Stop telling me who does what.  *I* am the Mexica God here, right?  YOU WANNA STEP?  HUH?

2.  Oh, yeah, I "blessed" that withered up motherfucker.  Think of me while you're pissing razor blades.

3.  Chef is one God, I am another.  Sometimes we switch off, just to stave off the ennui of immortality.

I have never seen something that made me want to choke myself to death in anger before.

I believe "they" only applies properly to a plurality.

I think "he or she" or "the aforementioned person", though clunky, are more grammatically correct.

Kai'enne was just learning at the time of that first video, living on the street more or less. since then, a steady job, a steady place of residence, a rather strong support community, several art presentations, and speaking at international conferences on youth, art and urban renewal.

Now,

Okay, then as Kai'enne is someone I deeply respect and care about, who has more than gone the distance for me in the past, I am more than within my bounds to tell you all to eat a dick, as it would be wrong of me to sit back and not defend someone I care about, especially when the person is not hear to defend theirself.

All I've seen of Kai'enne here is a pretentious overblown assbag. He may have changed, he may have great things going for him, he may be the next thing to God now, but I don't give a shit.

I don't see how needling someone for those reasons disrespects you in any way whatsoever, even if you feel the need to defend him for sharing a similar lifestyle to you or whatever.

If I was to have any sympathy at all, I'd have to say he would have needed to do something to elicit it while he was posting here. He didn't.

~~~Payne: Quite capable of not having respect for a friend of someone he does respect, thanks. Though with shit like this you make it hard sometimes, Kai.
I will take this moment to point out that some people here absolutely loathe Optimus Pinecone, and have ripped him a new asshole at every opportunity. Needless to say, I adore said Mr. Pinecone, and briefly stepped to his defense, but have been instructed that he is a big boy and doesn't need a board mommy, whether he's here or not. For the record, he is not.
The people who hate him also happen to be people who I know like and respect me, so I really don't think that should be made issue of. They can hate him without it affecting their feelings for me, and to presume otherwise would be IMO disingenuous and perhaps a bit manipulative.
