Actually I think the particularly distasteful thing in that new story was just how fast and blindly some people will jump on what they see as an opportunity to demonize any group. Now this asshole has got whole counties full of people thinking that not only are all Muslims terrorists, now Hispanics are highly likely to be terrorists too. Way to go, douchebag!

HUMBLE -- The Humble private school teacher accused of fondling a student has been charged with indecency with a child, but is denying the allegations by saying she’s prejudiced.
Officials said the incident involving Irene Stokes, 61, allegedly happened on March 22 inside a classroom at Northwest Preparatory Academy, which is located in the 600 block of Charles Street.
"It’s just nasty, you 61, you grown, you have no business touching on nobody's child," said the victim's mother.
“The victim said that she was in the classroom alone with the teacher and that the teacher touched her on the outside of her clothes, on what she called her ‘private part,’ her vaginal area,” said Humble Police Department Detective J. Blanchard.
The 6-year-old girl said when she told her teacher to stop, Irene Stokes, 61, told her to get out of the classroom, according to court records. The girl told investigators that Stokes made her stand out in the hallway outside of the class and then refused to allow her to eat lunch or take a test.
"Law and Order was on, and there was a subject about that. I told my kids, ‘If anyone ever touch you or anything like that, let me know,’" said the victim's mother.
A few minutes later, the mother said her daughter started crying.
"That's when she told me she touched her,” said the victim’s mother. “I said touched her how? She said she touched my private area. "
The child’s mother contacted school officials and was able to confirm that the girl did not eat lunch at school that day.
Stokes denied the allegations.
“She (said she) doesn’t like to even touch the black children on their hand, she shies away when they try to hug her -- she admitted to being prejudice,” Blanchard said.

You obviously weren't around for the 2002-2006 hysteria, when Al-Qaeda was, at one time or another linked with:
Saddam Hussein
President Putin and the FSB
Venezuela
Colombian and Mexican Cartels of various kinds
North Korea
The Iran-Contra scandal
The Nazi Party
The Communist Party
The antiglobalization movement
Noam Chomsky
The sinking of the Maine
The Hindenburg disaster
And I only made up two of those.
Also a few years back there was a brief flap about "terror babies". These are like anchor babies, only worse, because they're terrorists.
Of course, if you watch The Power of Nightmares by Adam Curtis, you'll see a very good reason why Al-Qaeda is a shadowy organization which apparently is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Namely, because Al-Qaeda is more a figment of Western imagination than it is of actual fact. What does Al-Qaeda mean? The base. As in database. A database of names of people who trained at camps in Afghanistan funded by Bin Laden and his affiliates. Only that and nothing more.
Ex-GOP lawmaker blisters Abbott for ‘pandering to idiots’ over military exercise
AUSTIN — Todd Smith, a former veteran House member, wrote to Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday, saying he’s appalled that his fellow Republican has given credence to a fringe group that fears the U.S. military would stage a takeover of Texas.
Smith, now a lawyer in Euless, branded as “embarrassing” the notion that the military would pose that kind of risk, and he accused the governor “of pandering to idiots.” He said he made his letter public because it is important “to rational governance that thinking Republicans call you out on it.”
The governor’s office did not immediately return requests for comment.
Earlier this week, Abbott ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor a large-scale eight-week exercise of special operations forces scheduled for this summer. Social media users have pushed conspiracy theories that the exercise, Jade Helm 15, is a ruse to confiscate guns and declare martial law in hostile states.
After citizens raised concerns, Abbott said the State Guard would keep tabs on the operation to ensure that Texans’ “safety, constitutional rights, private-property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed.”
In his letter, Smith said he is “horrified that I have to choose between the possibility that my governor actually believes this stuff and the possibility that my governor doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to those who do.”
Smith, who left the Legislature in 2013 after losing in a state Senate primary, noted that an advisory group appointed by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick recently criticized Abbott’s support of expanded prekindergarten as a socialist, Godless plot to break up families.
“Is there anybody who is going to stand up to this radical nonsense that is a cancer on our State and our Party?” Smith asked.
