You make me consider my nightmares and worries programmed into me by my father. I pray that i don't plague my children with such closed minded fear mongering.

I suppose that I over filled that short piece with too many ideas. my point about the box is that even in times of crisis most americans turn to their teevees for the latest "update" and take that single opinion like the word of their god. The teevee god lol.

Thank you for your constructive criticism.

And thank you, Iason, for that insightful comment.

Talk about not fucking getting it.  :lulz:

Tell me about it.  He seems to be making an effort, sorry though it is, so I try to riff on it.  He HAS to insult me for that.  Not wants to, HAS to, because he's a fucked up little assburgers waste of sperm.

Fuck him.  He's a waste of bandwidth.  He needs his own thread, I think.

I don't get how

that came off as an insult. Your writing affected me on a personal level and caused me to reflect upon it, so i shared.

and your right TRRN, I didn't get it. I still don't get all of it, like the aforementioned.

I only figured out what you were trying to start after Triple Zero continued it.

Roger, if you can explain how what i said offended you then i can work on not pushing your button in the future. If you don't care to try and be civilized with me, then we can just ignore each other.

Off that topic; The Good Reverend set one up a question with "Who" which Triple Zero continued. I set one up with "What." If anybody wants to set one up with "Where", "When", or "Why" maybe we can get something started?

Well I'm sorry I couldn't do it right enough for you. I'm sorry I don't fit in any of your ideas. I guess I'm still just doing it wrong.

We keep ourselves wrapped in a blanket of unity, trying to be a part that fits into the greater scheme. Why so afraid to be uncovered? Why hide and cry and cling on to our own shreds of comfort? Our dreams in these sheets seem too close. Maybe all we have to do is reach out of this warm spot, out of the box, into the cold lonely reality. What then? What happens if we fall, and what then? who will catch us if any one? The first steps may be to fall and stumble, but is it worth it? Why not give up and crawl back into our box. Back into the box, all wrapped up like a bed of lies.

We think we know it all so we tease and bluff. knowing that what we know has, and will always be right. How do we know if we never test it or challenge it. They tell us not to rock the boat, we might just tip it or accidentally rip through the side of our blanket box. They help us think that we have to stay in our box and dream outside of it. For what reason and how does it make sense? Forget the box and run, don't walk, Until you're all alone. What then? You find yourself alone and you sit and stew and rest. How long has it been this cold and bright and clear? It seems like only a dream inside that box, wrapped and covered and warm. It's time to wake up and continue because you realize that everything is the same, except that now you are closer to your dreams outside the box. What now?

I apologize for not catching your lead right off the bat. I'm just thick like that. I'm still working on my thread etiquette. Don't be afraid to hit me with a ruler.

Just so that everyone know that I really am that retarded.

"No! Your doing it wrong anyway."
"No, You're doing it wrong."
"No! you shut up!"

Just watch your box, there is nothing better. It keeps you safe and warm and smug. As long as it's around you know you will feel better. There is death in the box, you're not surprised. As far as you know, that is what it's for. Death in the news, Death in the weather. Is that a peaceful protest? Oh wait, there goes the gas. Pouring from the box, it fuels your rage and warms your soul. Why try to change anything? Why combat the Natural order? Are you too afraid to fend for yourself?
You start your day as every other, through the same doors that you have always been pushed through. Where does it end, or when? Why can't you just take another doorway, another path? They don't care, they just push you through. You're just a means to what they think is the end. Another ten years, another bomb. The raise and fall of computers will doom us all. Now it seems the planet itself wants to finally be rid of us, who knew? Just let them lead, it's better that way. Casually stroll from door to shiny door. Ignore the dark pathways, follow us to the light! You don't want to be alone in the dark do you?
It keeps you safe, how could you hate it? Oh look, more death in the box. No wait, Is that the window? Don't be afraid just ring your bell. They will be right there to clean up the mess. Who are they that make this world so much better? So comfortable in this quilt, these patters so pretty. But who are they? They think like you do, so you like them. They don't like them? Great, neither do you! They think it's great to think independently, but who wants to say, "your right"? Maybe you are, but nobody wants to hear it. It's just so damn contrary to what they think, so lets just burn it. Stop that refractories foul mouth, we wouldn't want anyone to believe it. Keep them blind, deaf and dumb. Then no one can think it.

Quote from: Cain on November 10, 2009, 03:51:00 PMYou assume three incorrect things:

That politicians have the same interests as the public
That people are more powerful than corporations
That Brown is American, apparently
We all live in America.

You people in Englandistan or whatever should also call your senators and representatives.

I have. They don't listen to me because I live in a horribly god fearing misinformed society who don't listen to me. I also didn't vote for McConnel, OR McKain, but this state did...

KopyKat,

It's not funny if you have to explain it.

The audience's response determines the funniness.

-toa,
is not yet amused

nobody got it, so it wasn't funny. Therefore there is no harm in explaining it.

To continue the metaphor, showing up to the game with a bazooka may get you some disaproving glares, or offhand comments about impropriety with explosives, but by and large a "THAT WAS FUCKING COOL!", will be the repsonse.

I see no bazooka.  I see a bicycle helmet with stickers and a donated "Mickey Mouse" sweatshirt with drool on it.

I aint got no stinkin bazooka! Just a 9 hidden under the helmet and a bottle of gasoline tied to the bike frame with det. cord. Wanna see what happens when i hit the bell?

I'm starting to reconsider my fondness of you. If you're gonna front like this, at least be funny about it.

-toa,
style is substance

It was funny because i will be riding said bike when i hit the bell and i disappear in a fire ball. after all it is what every one wants to see.

:nuke:

and then probably a little bit of this

:zombie:

Untill the shells in the 9 under my helmet start to go off.

IMO

But your opinion is uninformed and useless, so why would anyone care?

I mean, if someone wanted the opinion of someone who thinks Gordon Brown is an American politician, they could just mosey on down to the local loser bar and listen to the informed opinion of other Glenn Beck fans such as yourself.

That hurts my feelings Rog. I've never watched his show, read his book, nor do I know anything about his political standing.

You people are a lil too uppity for my taste. Too damn uptight to be discordian. when you band together against a free radical you show your true color. What ever happened to discordians should stick apart? so now I'm stuck to you!

Banding together against a free radical?
Suppose we were all out at a pond, playing a good Discordian game of Sink.  As we're pitching our impromptu projectiles, discharging firearms, and  lobbing other clumps of shit at our target, an asshole decides that, in the name of eris and our game beign to ordered or uppity, they are going to jump around like a spasming poster child for fetal alchohol syndrome in our line of fire.  We'd rahter keep playing sink, but we now feel a sudden jsutification and possibility of fun with a new target of the self - shitting moron that life has presented to us.  Yeah, we're going to throw it at.

You've brought nothing to support or justify pointing out our "uppity" situation.  You are background noise.

If that be her will then so be it. but if you expect me not to shoot back then you obviously don't get me. Then again, only a few of you do get me.
