Is thinking for oneself inherently valuable?  What if I'm a dumbass?

Thinking for oneself seems like it could be valuable in some situations and a hassle in others. It probably depends on the scenario.
I know myself to be a fool, so I seek to learn.

Hello, I am a new spag here. I only learned of discordianism a couple months ago, so I will make a complete fool of myself. This may be intentional.
I also really suck at introductions.
My current goal I am working towards is gathering enough brass scrap to cast into an apple.(gold is far too expensive for me)

I'll probably put incomplete ideas and finished flyers into this thread. They will probably be shit, but it doesn't appear that this topic is too active as of late, so I might as well.

Once I tried mixing sweetened tropical kool-aid powder into scrambled eggs. Turned out far worse that expected. It an almost sandy texture, bright pink/orange color, and a flavor between sulphury water and Hi-C. Might try finding a picture. (If I still have the picture around)
