Well, yeah, we can't run around letting people in on our little joke, can we?

We should be asking others to let us in on their jokes.

I'm definately opposed to discordian unity, or even trying to recruit people to discordianism as a concept. There loads of people out there doing their own mindfucks often without even knowing it. I've been doing since before I discovered discordianism on the net around 2000 or so.

Let's not put people off by trying to convince they are part of a movement, lets just encourage and perpatrate mind fucks where we can, nasty and nice on everyone even each other. It's all good.

Don't get me wrong, build unity if you want (or at least try) but for me it is the wrong path.

That doesnt mean we can't cooperate on projects, and share stories and advice and so on.

Well, we don't all know eachother in person, the bloke who runs it lives in Korea, but I know his best mate, it's a sort of loose network. But we all get on pretty much.

Surely if people want to update eris, or the PD then that is up to them? If you don't agree with their version, do your own! No one can have monopoly on an idea. The more rival or 'complementary' interperatations and adaptations the better.

My African history through the 80s is pretty poor though, I'm not sure why they emerged how their precise role and reasoning for it.

For a variety of reasons,  they can trace their lineage back to various South African, Belgian, CIA, and British attempts to destabilise and start the corporate re-colonisation of black African post colonial nations. 

Now the glut of white and black South African mercenaries on the market is much more to do with the economic realities of post apartheid SA than with a deliberate ideological 'movement'.
