News:

Several times a month, I will be in a store aisle reaching for something and feel a hand going up the inside of my thigh. When I turn around to find myself alone with a woman, and ask her if she would prefer me to hold still so she can get a better feel for the situation, oftentimes she will act "shocked" claiming nothing had happened, it must be somebody else...

Wait, are you saying Blackwater is a militant discordian cabal that doesn't respect the state, ignores all rules and just spreads destructive chaos?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Halliburton and Blackwater make a lot of money in this war? Classical win-win situation.

i got a few things to say about this .. first, if you wanna learn Dutch, don't come to the Netherlands :) at the first hints of you having trouble with the language most dutch (especially the younger generation) will switch to english at the blink of an eye (and sometimes speak it better than some americans ;-) ), and you have to beg them for the patience to speak Dutch again :)
I once knew some guys who tried to learn German here in Austria. After they knew some basics they were a little bit despaired, because they still couldn't understand people on the streets, since no one was speaking the standard German they'd learned in their courses.

I think the best way to learn pacing is observing it when you're doing it yourself. Make yourself aware that this phenomenon exists, by reading/thinking about it. Then, at times, you'll recognize you're doing it, for example when having a conversation with a friend. If you just try to imitate another persons moves, it might seem as you're making fun of them, which clearly isn't what you want.

When trying it on purpose the best way maybe is to make a specific move yourself (like leading your hand to your mouth: to smoke, to scratch you beard, to look like you're thinking ;) and then see if the other person follows you.

If anyone else does, however, then let me know and I'll jump right on it.
why not take short sequences of other videos (maybe currently popular youtube videos) and put some meme bombs into it, just as text over the image. so people would be bombarded with information via three layers: the audio, the images, the text.

this is where i got the ideas from. unfortunately it's german and i don't know if there's some similar tv show in the us/uk; but maybe you're getting the idea, or the inspiration. they're talking about the theory of relativity....

Or Kill Me / Re: The Con

i don't think you can get out of it, because it would follow you. you're not the only who wants to get out, so if you get out, someone will want to follow you. and more will follow. and soon you'll find yourself in it again. the it might be something new, but it's an it again.

or maybe i just don't get the point.

i agree with TOGs rant and i see the other points. but i don't generally agree with that the cheaper the better argument. cause products are different.

let's take the toothpaste example: one product might make your teeth wither than the other. one product might have better (less health risky) ingredients than the other. one might have been tested on animals, the other one not. and then yes, then there's the price of the product.

so there's more you can base your decision on, than just the marketing campaign or the price.

That robot thing reminds me of an elementary school trauma I had.

What if you are mentally handicapped and visiting an integration class, but no one told you? So you just believe you,Äôre like the other kids. Would you be able to figure it out? Would at some point your parents say you,Äôre old enough now and explain to you that you,Äôre complete nuts?

I never came to any conclusion and thus decided to forget about the thought.
