This is one hell of an awesome book. Standard dystopia is a kind of Ashcroftian Communist Bush state(yes I think the president is communist. Ni.) This is a tyrannical corporate state, with the government on its knees and corporations ruling everything. It's a seriously great novel.

I don't quite know what to say. But I kind of understand your condition. I can go through periods of massive depression and anger, feeling like pure hell. A lot of things can bring it on. I have pretty fragile emotions, and yes, I cry sometimes. I sometimes want to just die. But Slarti, I try as I can to stay happy and pull through. Maybe it's the antideppressents I'm on, or maybe it's just me. I can go through some serious overloads, and Roger mentioned it as a sort of shell shock of the pineal gland, like from exposure to lots of pain and grey. Anyway you're not alone, man. Funny also how I'm one of the few pale people in my family. Guess that's my semi-Aryan side(I'm not really sure what my genes are really.) like I said. I usually stand out in a picnic. Or a synagougue. Y'know, I've never been to church, but temple is obscenely boring, especially because a good deal of it is in Hebrew, which I don't know. than the sermon usually brings up some arrogant crap about the treasures of our heritage, and how we're destined by God to return to the Holy Land. A bunch of bull, really, but I can't imagine church being a lot better what with the whole Jesus shtick(told you I was Jewish) being thrown in your face. It's so hard to vent when so many people take this religion crap so seriously.

Satan probably looks a bit like me, then.
