Fucking monkeys. Completely true.

I could not begin to tell you how many educated, intelligent men I have slept with (I prefer to think that I only sleep with such men, but???) who have NOT immediately put on a condom, and who have acted surprised when I asked them to. I think it is the ultimate stupidity to trust a more or less complete stranger to NOT HAVE BEEN SLEEPING WITH A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WITHOUT A CONDOM, but apparently I am one of few? Seriously, WTF?

So, via the example from above, how would you appeal to a persons pride in this case?

"It will look bigger if you add a layer of latex"?

lmao.

Youd have to create an image of men who dont put on a condom. It would basically go like "Well, if you dont want to put on a condom you are basically saying you have an STD. For anybody who does not have an STD would be scared to catch one."
This would also counter the "I just dont care" response, because this would be just what somebody with AIDS would say.

Directly linking unsafe sex to STDs is the way to go. Ask 100.000 college students on the streets whether they have an STD. If you find me one who admits to it I would be suprised. So the same thinking should be enforced when they are in bed:

"You have any STDs?"
"No."
"Great, here is a condom"

I just saw "Pi" from 1998 because it was on a German Discordian website as recommended viewing material. Weirdest movie ever.

Or Kill Me / Re: Fun with depression

Oh and you got dealt this hand. Your hand is JTs. Preflop all-in equity wise it sucks, but if you play it smart it has the potential to connect big and is good for a lot of fun.

Or Kill Me / Re: Fun with depression
November 12, 2008, 02:34:10 PM
I'm 21 and I have suffered from severe depression for almost 6 years. An A+ all-inclusive depression I mean, not seeing the sun for weeks, using drugs you haven't even heard of, multiple suicide attempts etc.

Now a couple of months ago I took it a little far when I got myself crack, cocaine and xtc for around $200s worth and went out with a knife trying to kill somebody. Just anybody so I would go to jail and finally be done with everything (seeing how I apparently don't have the balls to kill myself). Well luckily I broke down before I could find a victim and needless to say that I spent the next months in a closed psychiatry.

It took them some time to figure out how desperate and dangerous I actually was until they decided to give me the strongest antidepressants they had available. The side effects really suck, but today I wake up every morning with the exact same thoughts as before, but with a way better feeling. I can actually get up and do things if I want to.

The best of all is that I'm basically still as wicked as before, but I don't feel bad about it. I can truly do whatever the fuck I want, not being scared of any consequences whether it be death, jailtime or bankruptcy. AND I have the energy to do it.

So to get back to you, and fun with depression Id say that many people suffering a depression are much more "free" in their thoughts than most people. The problem is that you just cant get your body to do what you want. You simply don't enjoy things, whatever it may be. Solution: Get some hardcore drugs from your trusted psycho-doc and enjoy life to its fullest. Don't do any of that therapy stuff, its designed for people who don't think about what they are told. Just get the basic chemical balance in your brain fixed.

-> Profit!

Well okay, at least you got me to confess to my metal addiction. Metal and irony, good stuff.

Anyway, btw my response to the "do I like Discordja or the way it makes me feel" sounds kinda arrogant, didnt mean to put it like that.

thanks for the welcoming responses!

This morning I was sad and didnt feel well while wandering around in the streets, then I thought of Discordia and had a smile on my face for the next 2 hours. No point here, just saying.

So do you like Discordja, or just the way it makes you feel?

I have not come to Discordia and decided its right for me, I have had my very own self built up on thoughts, feelings and experiences and then found people who are quite like me. They have given the sum of things a name and created what we now call Discordia.

The fact that these people (you) are out there is what made me feel good today, not what I have felt and known all along.

And also:

METAL ! ! !  fuck yes!

Principia Discussion / Guess I will say "hi" for once

Hey everyone,

I dont usually make a thread for saying hello when I find a new forum, but for once I feel like I might really be spending some time here. I found out about Discordianism by googling for the book "The Dice man". I guess it took a couple of links from there, but Im really glad the interwebs brought me here.

Im a 21 year old boy (more of a child actually) from the Europa lands (non english speaking country so excuse some of the ensueing grammar rape) on a joyful journey to a life that is worth living. Unsure of whether or not to bore you with personal details I decide to . . . not yet decided . . . wait . . . nah, lets not.

I really love the concept of Discordia, so far I have read most of the Principia, began on the BIP and been browsing the forum a fair amount of time. I must say Im impressed. I really look forward to getting to know all the capillaries of this mess ( sorry).

Im kinda running out of things to say here, which is rare, but I think its good to lay low on all my wicked ideas for the moment and until I know more about the norms and forms of this place.

Maybe we can still get a little discussion out of this, I guess it would be the wrong forum then but oh well, ... Im new here:

To what extent would you describe the character of "The Joker" in Batman: The Dark Knight as of Discordian nature of thought?

(Please resist the temptation of judging me an idiot for asking this question)

Have a good day everyone.
