Kitten formula works, so does goat's milk (for most orphaned animals, actually).  If you don't have an eye dropper, you can make a q-tip very wet and dribble it in, but be careful it doesn't catch any of the fluff in it's mouth.  Do not use cow's milk.  Try not to feed it on its back like you would a baby, but rather tummy town.  They tend to aspirate if you do it the other way.  It is probably almost old enough to drink from a small animal bottle.  Since the eyes are almost open it should be urinating/defecating on its own, but if you don't see signs of this, massage its bottom with a warm damp rag.

You have a funny way of showing it. Sure doesn't sound like you'll miss it to me. Calling out what you're doing is just calling out what you're doing... maybe you should examine what that is, rather than trying to dismiss it as personal insults instead of a criticism of behavior.

Ok, in the universe I grew up in saying stuff like that was viewed as insulting.  I was brought up not calling people names, not using words and phrases that could come across that way.  I was taught not to be rude.  In all the adult contact I have had I have never had people use words and phrases that I was brought up to view as insulting in anything but an insulting and/or rude manner.  If that was not the manner you intended it, then I'm sorry I took it that way but it also makes you the only adult I know who says things like that and doesn't intend them to be insulting.

Here's where I'm coming from.  I am not trying to guilt anyone into anything or out of anything.  That has never been my intention or design, and I was honestly surprised people took it that way (go internet and lack of nuance).  I am doing my best to be open and honest about where I am coming from at TSC.  I willing admit I have a ton of issues stemming from TCC.  Most of it I haven't discussed anywhere but privately.  Part of why I joined up at TSC was the idea that anyone could share what they wanted and not worry about over the top modding.  I very often didn't post what I felt at TCC because of exactly that.  I can post what I want at TSC and am enjoying that freedom.  You all can ignore me just as easily as I can ignore you.  You all can post your thoughts, I can post mine.  That's the concept and except for some glitches, like this, seems to be working pretty well over all.

There's a thread on magic that canis linked to in this thread where we are freely debating the existence and workability of magic.  It's a very polarized subject but the people involved are dealing with it seriously and (for the most part) being respectful even though the views are very different.  That is an example of something I'd love to see your input on.

You know, the way you twist things around to suit you is really getting old.  Stating my opinion that filling the rest of the forum with angst is obnoxious when there are already MULTIPLE threads in MULTIPLE forums about the topic is not the same thing as "keep any references to past experiences in their Approved Zones™" at least not in this universe.  No one has ever tried to stop anyone from discussing their issues about anything at TSC.

I'm psyched because I'm taking a box of these to Connecticon. I'll also be bringing a bunch of copies of the Etc.Discordia, though I don't expect them to sell. It'll be the first time I'm selling my own creations at a convention.  

I'm bummed though because I won't get a chance to see a real copy before I make a bulk order. So I'm wondering how many copies I should actually buy to bring to the con.  I'd hate to come home with 20 decks that have stupid errors in them. And I KNOW there are still stupid errors... just don't know WHERE.

Are you going to be selling through distributors, brick and mortar stores or just online at that site?  I'm curious because we own a game store and might be willing to give it a trial run on the shelves.  You'd have to talk to my husband, but he's generally up for new games and this one sounds interesting.

I don't have a real concrete plan yet, but it would be really cool to sell it in brick and mortar stores. I didn't know you owned a game store, that's awesome! After I get the first print in my hands and I'm positive that I've got all the little publishing gremlins, I'll send you guys a sample. 

Great!  I just talked to him about it and he's more than willing to take a look at a sample and see if it would work for the store.  He's worked with self published games before.  The store has been around for 9-10 years and he's owned it for about 7 of those.  epicadventuregames.com if you're curious.

Everyone here is allowed to voice their own opinions so I am doing so.  I am not modding.  There are no official admin posts in this thread that I have seen.

Others might think bringing TCC into every other thread is ok, I don't.  That isn't why I joined up with this forum.  I was looking for a pagan based forum where anyone could post opinions have some real debates based on critiquing arguments not people without worrying about getting in trouble/banned/modded for it.  There is some of that going on, but I really feel it is being over shadowed by all the TCC bullshit.  This isn't TCC.  This isn't PD.  There are members here from both sites and from other places.  I personally wish people would drop the angst just a touch and allow TSC to find its own voice.  If it's just going to be a site to trash TCC then the whole idea is lost and very honestly wasted in my eyes.

This place is what we want to make it, right?  So I am well within my rights to state that I think all this is out of hand and going totally against the Spirit of the Forum as a MEMBER of this forum.  If everyone else is allowed to put their opinions out there damned if I'm going to keep quiet about mine.

I might add that it's a bit hypocritical to knock me for sharing my opinions when you all put so much importance on making yours very well known.

At TCC I very often chose NOT to voice my opinions.  At TSC I'm going to.  I'm not going to sit back and get walked all over, allowing others to state whatever they want to state and be too afraid to say how I feel because it might piss people off.  It goes both ways folks.  You can say what you want, so can any of the other members including me.  Hopefully it will reach an equilibrium soonish.

I've been reading this thread, I think I might have even read the whole darned thing, and I have a few questions.  If it was already covered and I missed it, well you all are going to be closer to your 100 page thread.

Parenting is part of the issue, but unless you keep your kids at home in a bubble the parents aren't the only ones influencing kids.  Not only that, but in preteen and teen years kids are wired to push limits, rebel, figure out what it means to be independent and make their own decisions and deal with their own fuck ups (unless the parents pad the fuck ups, but that's another topic).  It is normal for other factors in their lives to start taking on nearly as much importance as family.  If that didn't happen they'd never grow up and leave the house.

Experimenting with drugs and alcohol is often one of the ways kids do this (not saying it's a good idea by any means) and unless the substances literally don't exist someone, somewhere will make them available at some point (unless the parents are using that bubble).  I was in Friday Night Live (no drinking, but I remember reading once that kids in the program actually had a higher drinking rate than kids not in it... might be misremembering though), had great grades, did all the clubs, had a strong supportive family and I still experimented with stuff in high school and know lots of other kids who did as well and are not alcoholics or drug addicts.  I also know a few that went on to try harder things and ended up fucked up (prison for murder in fact).  The people who did go further I really feel would have gone further one way or the other if they had any access to anything.  It was just the type of personalities they had.

So, since we can't make substances go away and since we can't wrap our kids in bubbles, wouldn't the most sensible thing be to legalize (at least medically), regulate and pay extra special attention to prevention especially in kids that might be prone to addiction and risky behavior?  It just seems to me that the money would go to better use in this scenario instead of going into enforcement and taxes on the product could go to prevention as well.  I do know that some of this has been gone over, but that's my two cents after having read all this.

The part that I'm really curious about is opinions on "If marijuana is legalized for medical purposes what makes it any different from all the other prescription drugs that kids aren't supposed to get their hands on (and still do)?"

I mean the proof of it being helpful medically is out there and much stronger and more dangerous substances are prescribed every day.  This hits home with me because I have kids and my doctor is discussing writing me a prescription.  I also know parents with medical cards.

I recently went off prescription anti-depressants because I had been stable for awhile and hated the side effects.  I can definitely tell the difference, but I'm really working to stay off them because I hate the idea of being medicated forever.  I am being absolutely truthful when I say that anti-depressants saved my life more than once.  Whether or not they work the way it is described they do work and they work better for me than herbals or other options.  I truly feel there is a physical cause for severe depression, articles like this are good (research is almost always a good thing!) but it has taken so long for depression to be recognized as a real issue that they concern me because of the possibility of it going back to "oh just buck up and get over it."

My doctor is a close friend.  She keeps up with all the current research and has been on anti-depressants herself.  I love her dearly but she does tend to be medicate first, ask questions later, although she goes light on that with me because I dig my heels in like a pissed off mule.  The pediatrician, on the other hand, has a very wait and see mentality.  That's good for some things, but it meant that my son went undiagnosed for a lot longer than he might have if she was a different type of doctor.

I think a lot of it has to do with which doctor you get and how much the actually give a shit.
