MysticWicks endorsement: "Spoiled brats of the pagan world, I thought. I really don't have a lot of respect for Discordians. They just strike me as spiritually lazy."

Or Kill Me / Aint this some shit?

I sure it does get tossed. This country becomes more surreal by the moment, doesn't it?

Bring and Brag / Question

I'm sure you've all been exposed to those gawdawful paintings of sad little clowns. Well, my shrink says I need to do something creative to counteract my destructive tendencies to terrorize small children and old ladies. So I was thinking of doing my own series of clown paintings. Something sweet - like a clown offering cotton candy coated beehives on sticks to the little darlings.

I'd like to give digital painting a shot and wonder if any of you have recommendations on what I'd need to buy to get started. I just don't trust the clowns at Staples to understand and cater to my artistic needs.

Does the circus count as a cabal?

Literate Chaotic / Bea Arthur's Vagina

I've loved Bea Arthur ever since Cousin Maude came to take care of the Bunkers when they all had the flu. She made Archie cream of wheat cereal with cheese on top because "It's filling, it's soothing, and it binds."

Or Kill Me / Re: Choose your Roger

The poll above will not necessarily be the sole determining factor.  Persuasive arguments will be taken into consideration.  Bear in mind, however, that the Roger that wins is the Roger you are stuck with, from this point forward.

Choose now...the Roger that sank the Lexington, or the Roger that you have dealt with for the last year.

Before you vote, read the above two new essays, for they represent the choice you will make.  Roger the discordian, or Roger the Chaotic (notice the subtle difference).

This poll will run for 48 hours.
I would have voted in this poll, but you didn't say how my Roger would arrive once I chose which one I wanted.
I can't afford C.O.D. again. The last Roger I ordered cost a lot more in shipping than I had expected.

Or Kill Me / its all about the journey?
May 07, 2005, 07:29:57 AM
A vampire bat came flapping in from the night covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelled the blood and began hassling him about where he got it.

He told them to go away and let him get some sleep but they persisted until finally he gave in.

"OK, follow me" he said and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him.

Down through the valley they went, across a river and into a forest full of trees.

Finally he slowed down and all the other bats excitedly milled around him.

"Now, do you see that tree over there?" he asked.

"Yes, Yes, Yes!" the bats all screamed in a frenzy.

"Good" said the bat, "Because I sure as hell didn't!"
