It has come to the attention of the Erisian Liberation Front that its use of the metaphor of Pie and Cookies has been grossly misinterpreted and misused as of late.  As the ELF declares No Control over the use of symbols once released into GroupMind, the decision has been made for We to abandon this little-understood meme.

As should be generally understood ELF accepts Any and All into its ranks, and this includes what shall now be known as the Cookies and Pie Brigade (CPB).  The arbitrary classification of the CPB are those who, for reasons of their own making, appear and give cause for others to surmise that they are concerned only with frivolity, shallow hedonism, and refuse to acknowledge grave social issues that occur in the experiential world.  Previously, such concerns were paramount and exclusive to the LDD (at least, they thought so), who have of late taken umbrage at the (supposed) ELF for not participating in defibrillating the current paradigm.  

Let it be known, from this day forth, that the ELF is, and has been, hard at work subverting the common assumptions and perceptions of society at large, and using the methods comfortable to them.  Such methods, diverse and subtle, do not necessarily involve violence, direct confrontation, or even visibility.  We feel that such methods, while offering immediately visible results, do not lead to lasting change, but rather offer up a target for the Armies of the Grey.

To reiterate and make clear:  While members of the CPB may be involved with the ELF, the ELF will no longer use the symbology of Cookies and Pie to describe their methods.  There shall be, from here forward, no ,ÄúStandard,Äù symbol or flag or metaphor used, merely the most appropriate symbol available at the moment.

The ELF would like to extend Our apologies to self-proclaimed members of the LDD if they had assumed or deduced that the ELF were nothing more than a bunch of panty-waisted sissies who used the excuse of ,Äúno-action,Äù to avoid participation in Revolution.*  Such assumptions and/or deductions are decidedly False.  While the methods of the LDD and the ELF are often at polar opposites, the goal is the same.  Let us work together to achieve our aims.

In short:  The ELF EXISTS.
