Thinking about Gabbard in general, my animal instinct is to flatten my ears against my head, roll my eyes up till the whites show, bare my teeth, and trill like a cicada stuck in a Commodore 64.

Well, two out of three ain't bad...

So how come I don't have more power?  or is it some synergistic effect, I need all three in some alchemical reaction?

You aren't doing it right.

hello i shall now sermonize you with my special sermon machine.
rants are boring

making fun of people tastes like good cheese
and good cheese is rather good
therefore go poke your friends while eating cheese
but dont poke them with the cheese. that ruins it.
and my foot just fell asleep

in conclusion people need to drink more orange juice

/end stuff

Absolutely fantastic. You are the face of Today's youth. How much do you cost?

The rules change, but the game remains the same.

Sex, money and lies are the keystones of Power. Those with none, have none. Maturity among the masses is Submitting one's self to the will of his Employers, in recognition of the far worser of two evils.

Quote from: Great Teacher LargoIt's Fori.  It's a second declension neuter noun.  Declines thusly:

            Singular     Plural
Nominative   Forum        Fori
Genative     Fori         Fororum
Dative       Foro         Foris
Accusative   Forum        Foros
Ablative     Foro         Foris
Vocative     Fore         Fori

If you're going to try to sound like you know something via use of latin, please get it correct.

You piss us off when you don't.

I was not aware I was writing in Latin. I seemed to have missed that class. I'm not sure who the We would be, I'm rather new here, however one fo the thigns I foudn highly amusing and noteworthy in this Principia Dsicordia of yours, was that part that wen something like, "speak for yourself and those who like what you say." I am quite certain I bungled it up somehow, but I'm sure one of you fine Discordians will know what I am writing about there.

In as an aside from that, if and when You are ready to discuss where we left off the discourse at hand, I am game. though at this point I severely doubt you are up to it, since your replies to my posts henceforth have, so far, been rather poor attacks on my Person. Do not fret that you have damaged my Ego however, for I am a rather Bohemian Industrialist that spends his idle hours playing with the poor and downtrodden in schemes reminiscent of 1983's Trading Places, and drinking large sums of Alcohol.

Quote from: Great Teacher LargoYou're doing that thing where you willfully (or maybe not -- I could be not explaining myself correct because, duh, language isn't perfect for communicating ideas, or more likely, you're a stupid troll ) misconstrue what I say.  And as to your statement that I misinterpereted what you said, I would respond with, "Learn to express yourself better, 'cause them's the bumps."

Also, that avatar of yours is a picture of one of those diseases where by the eye fills up with milky fluid, right?

I am a troll now? For what reason? Because for some reason You have decided to reply to my post not with reasonable discourse but with inconsequential and unrelated tomfoolery? I am not sure what your troll is, But not only am I very much not stupid, tho I was very much tempted to call you as such after your post previous.

However whatever this other nonsense is, apart from the "discussion", If this Great Teacher Largo fellow is here insulting Members of these Esteemed fora, then How could he complain to be Insulted on his own fora? I thought it was some kind of world wide web fashion to get hate mail.

Quote from: Great Teacher LargoDittoheads and those who blindly support someone, have no place in the Democratic process.

But we weren't talking about Democracy, we were talking about Patriotism.

And it often seems that Patriotism almost always requires a bit of non-thinking, or blind support.

Advocating Democracy, on the other hand, seems to take a lot of hard work.  I would venture to say that being pro democracy requires advocating for people you disagree with.  Much like the ACLU and the KKK.

Democracy is not now, nor has it ever been, anymore real than the thought of a Unicorn.

The Question is not wether or not the thought of a unicorn is Real, but wether or not it has any bearing outside the imagination. Democracy is merely the Chrasmatic putting on a sideshow while The ugly ducklings hatch Dastardly deeds, that have as much to do with Peace and Justice, as  Industrialism has with environmentalism, and in Equal aspects.

There is no problem with patriotism, only with those who question and do not act. None who stand here are innocent, and all of you Windbags with Cajones the size of peas. Especially those among you talk about doing things. When you finally Do do something, i am sure we will all hear about it on the news. If it is worthwhile.

You really should get that fluid drained out of your eye, as I think it's putting pressure on your optic nerve which is affecting your brain.

Firstly, in re: Unicorns, Anything that Cannot Be Imagined Does Not Exist.  Anything that Can Be Imagined Does Exist.  Thus, it follows that Unicorns exist.

And there is a problem with Patriotism.  There is a problem with any narrow sense of group belonging.  While all humans are disposed towards group identification, due to nature, via nurture we can change the scope of the identification.  Identifying solely with a country (which is a legal fiction that anyone with a real glimpse as to what is going on does not care for) tends to breed a 'Just Screw Them' attitude towards other people.

One should devote one's self to a set of ideals, not to an earthly manefestation of those ideals (because, like with everything else mortal, things change.)  Devotion to Liberty, Justice, Equality, these things will always be the same, no matter what group happens to be running the country at the time.

Also, Democracy is a very real thing.  It's called 'Mob Rule.'

The United States is not, nor has it ever been, a Democracy.  A Democracy is 51 people saying we will wear red shirts, and the other 49 pointing out that Red Shirts always die first, and then the 51 people kill the other 49 and say, "Now who's wearing red shirts?"

The from of Government that the United States is classified as is a Representative Republic, and it has Socialist Leanings.  I recall one debate with a man who was raililng against Socialism, and I pointed out that State-Run Police, Fire, and Emergency Services are socialist practicies.  I asked him if he was looking forward to Social Security, and pointed out that the Social in Social Security is the same as the Social in Socialist.

The Country is not a Democracy.

Representative Republic.  Thank youi.

...

You may wish to reread what I wrote, and perhaps reconsider your answer, since I was not debating the existence of unicorns, nor the thoughts thereof, I was debating the Effectuality they had upon their environemnt, Outside the manifestation of the mind.

The rest of your reply is incongruent with any sort of reality. "Social is the same word in socialist" ...?????? Does this mean that a Socialite is actually a Communist of some sort? Or that Democrats support Democracy more than Republicans?

Of course it does. Red is equivalent to Blue.

I whole heartedly agree. I have a chronic neurological disorder which causes uncontrolable muscle spasming, often resulting in my fingers clattering across the keyboard like mice to the cheese, and yet My grammar and spelling is Perfect. If you are not anal retentive about spelling and grammar, go back to the forest you Filthy Monkeys.

How do cats lie? Do they whisper false pleasantries to ease your sufferances? Do they declare the moon green and Grass orange?

I'll tell you what makes humans special. We're the animal that laughs at itself. We have to laugh at ourselves, because very few of us a prepared to deal with the pain. That's what makes a joke funny. Someone gets hurt. Someone has their feelings hurt, or are subjected to bodily harm, or makes a fool of themself. And we laugh at it. Most of us have to laugh at it, because if we don't laugh at it, if we don't shrug it off with a guffaw, we'll have to think about it. About the pain.

Laughter is a lie. What makes Man special is the ability to live outside of reality. No animal but Man can Lie.

Define "laughter"
Define "reality"
Define "outside"
Define "No"
Define "Animal"
Define "Man"
Define "Lie"

The "OMG I'M A REAL DISCORDIAN AND YOU'RE NOT AND I'M SO SMART AND WISE AND INSIGHTFUL AND ENLIGHTENED AND YOU'RE ALL FOOLISH HEATHENS" bit has been done to death, mate.

Why do you do what has been done to death then?

No, I know, you also are too busy choking on your own shit to smell the roses. Nobody Hears the crawling train Before it plows them over. I am not that train.
