So through some research and talking with friends, it seems I may have some form of depression, maybe possibly.
One of my friends had some pretty severe depression went to the doctor got some tiny yelllow pills and now says that they have helped out quite a bit.
Not to jump the gun or anything but has been any of your personal experiences with antidepressants i.e. if it is in fact a chronic thing and I'm not just a mopy bitch should I take them.

Apple Talk / MAP PLEASE ROGER
« on: October 20, 2009, 04:53:20 am »
I don't think this place is a desert, Rog. It seems to be a skullfucking insult to the deserts with their rivers and canyons that I know. The white plane seems to zoom on forever like saltflats. Why aren't there any mountains? The few trees and oases make me nervous. I don't trust them Rog, not one bit.

There hasn't been any for a while, nor people. This hellhole is a far cry from the canyonlands of our youths with vibrant rivers and slot canyons sprinkling high plains and mesas and the warm grasslands further into our neonatic pysche. They always seemed so nice. So full of nice. Why did we ever leave?

We probably needed to. I think we all needed to split up because we heard the land on the other side of the Wastelandô was much much much better.
I takes a couple decades but then you can enjoy it
It'll be nice.

Time passes very slowly.

Or Kill Me / Choruses from the Rock: Hurry, a short rant
« on: August 16, 2009, 07:15:26 pm »
People like to hurry. Now a days itís become part of the human condition. We like to hurry from place to place butís just a small part of the true journey, from time to time. In middle school we pray for highschool. In highschool we pray for college where after that we rush out into the working world where we get down on our (now extremely sore) knees and pray for  retirement. We treat each day as just a segment of the journey to the next milestone and when we reach that milestone, all it begins is the journey to the next one.

I wonder what happens when us humanoids reach retirement when we finally have been shuttled through 65 years of cattle drives and left us roam free with cash in our pocket and any where in the world to go. If you an American according to the average life expectancy you have  13 years left. Does 13 years of pure freedom account for 65 years of being in a trap? Especially if youíre eyesight is gone and you hearing is shot.  Thatís the grand joke. Weíve hurried so much through life towards retirement, we go so fast and we lose parts of ourselves along the way that we are just a burnt-out husks of what we used to be.

I suppose this could be called pessimistic. But thatís not quite true because there is any solution to this problem. You have to work sometime, thatís a fact of life. Even your vacation days cut it most of the time. The answer is side roads. Places and times where we can lose our sense of time. Retire every weekend and every summers break.

Discordian Recipes / The Fat Eris Cook book
« on: March 20, 2009, 11:13:50 pm »
Project Idea:

The Fat Eris Cook Book

the spags of the recipie forum all post their favorite dishes, with pictures.

once we have 15 or 20, we throw it in a book and hit print

book can also contain advice, anecdotes, and straight-up pranks that will make you think you're making some sauce, but it really turns the whole meal bright green

and your urine purple

or, you know, set your kitchen on fire
As suggested by Cram.
I'm getting a start on it. All I need is for you folks to Post your favorite recipes from this site. That simple

GASM Command / Board Project
« on: March 17, 2009, 03:59:17 am »
-well I think a board project would help. We have these periods of amazing activity and discussion following the launch / conclusion of any project. Group efforts help create group dynamics.

I've been thinking about that post. And I've come up with this thought.
What we need to do (Oh god Rog is going to hate me for this) is a positive sort of support for Discordian work both on the interwebs and beyond.
Go to commonly visited websites and pimp the hell out of this shit.
OR
We could create a new work like BIP.
And then Pimp that.
Your thoughts?

Or Kill Me / Sink or Swim
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:07:49 pm »
Sink or swim

Our two options according to nearly everyone. You either Sink or swim. Do you want to be like that dirty hobo? Of course not. Do you want to be that charming businessman with the caustic grin, trophy wife and 2.5 kids. OF COURSE! My question. Is why do I have to do either. Why canít I float. Or frolic in the water. Why canít I live on a shack on the beach swim and sleep. Why canít a climb a mountain with out fame or glory. Why do I have to take part in their sick game. What kind of sick fuck traps a bunch of people in a tank full of water and tell them to sink or swim anyways.

Not only that, they quietly tell you  Ēthis is your grand opportunity, the American Dream. Anyone can swim if they want to. Anyone can rise to the topĒ all while slipping  on hereditary life jackets to the ones they want to succeed and rocks to the ones they donít. Itís a joke. They donít even conceal their laughter. This is your freedom? Be impoverished or have your soul taken. Fuck swimming anyways, Iím hydrophobic.
