Maybe you should just call yourself a facist if that's what you want.  :?

I feel like introducing myself again. I don't think I appreciated how meta you guys can really be.

Nigel, I think the conversation you were remembering was whether peer review was a good control on the science community, yes?

That may well have been it.

The problem I have is this:

Either we face reality and admit that there are some huge problems, thus giving the religious nutjobs all kinds of ammunition, or we stick our heads in the sand and pretend nothing is wrong.

Of course, we have to do the former, or at least examine the hell out of it, but the temptation to do the latter is huge.  And now I know why the scientific community can be very reactionary.

We should hide frank scientific discussion in gay porno magazines.

A better place for frank scientific discussion would be the legislators offices.

There is a joke in there somewhere.

I'm not sure I could even think of a sane policy choice that the legislators could do to help here though. More funding maybe be better. Though I'm not sure if more money would help the broken dynamic with grants. Dance for your NSF grant monkeys, Dance.

No, don't guess, be certain of that fact. I am, that and clean living made me the well adjusted human I am today.

Oops. I am just trying so hard to fit in. Hey cain you know all about politics and such and things. Tell me everything. EVERYTHING.

:troll:

You fuckers need to try harder,

Just wait, I need cain to get here so I can show you how smart I am.

Why yes, repeating the same tired shit WILL make it funny. At some point.

Probably.

Whelp, I was having fun though it was repetitive.

Do you guys smell ancient butthurt in the form of a sockpuppet?

It is THICK, ITT.

Some fun restored.  :lulz:

So is it just a matter of Russia being empirialistic as fuck and trying to get all of the ex-commie countries on their side? Which I'm guessing is related to their gas-distribution schemes. I guess my question is more something like "Do you think that Russia is doing this just for the sake of obtaining more financial/territorial/political power, or is the obtainment of more power a required step/preparation for something else?"

I've noticed you do a lot of guessing.

I'm going to second Cain's suggestion that you go read wikipedia or something.

srsly

Guessing is bad? I guess I better be real sure of myself before talking.

Science is messy and nobody wants to admit it because we are all waiting for the techno messiah to save us from our self inflicted problems.

I hope you don't like Sweeny Todd too then. There is a popular fanfic where one of the ponies goes Sweeny Todd on another in order to make cupcakes. There are plenty of supporting pictures as well.

I am going to bite. I don't see anything particularly wrong with this.

Shut your commie terrorist-kissing mouth.

NEVAR!! The mods that people respect are asleep post ponies.

I think alot of why I don't find this unsettling is because I have seen WORSE.

I, for one, am cold, wet, and in a mood great enough to needlessly murder 15 gorillas.

Welcome!

Since you have been lurking you likely know about the pool.

Stick around and share something upon which you place value.

OR ELSE.

I haven't heard of this. Care to explain?

Here you go: http://www.youtubemultiplier.com/52dce0450aa11-turn-around-bright-eyes.php

That was too much fun, I wasn't ready.

Howdy! I've kinda been lurking for a while. How is everyone?

I'm tired and cranky. HI!

Tell me about one (1) thing you like to do when you're at home by yourself. Try not to make it one of the things everyone does, like getting drunk, masturbating, or watching Gilligans Island while drunkenly masturbating.

I have enjoyed playing my music loud in two different rooms at once. When I do this I will purposefully have the two computers be various amounts of time out of sync. You never get the lyrics wrong this way!! Some music works better than others.
