Finally, the missing component of Hollow Earth theory: giant badgers. Possibly giant lava badgers.

King Arthur, King Harold, Robert the Bruce, Finn MacCool, Emperor Nero, Bran the Blessed, Owain Glyndwr, King Olaf I, Vlad III, Sir Francis Drake, Emperor Norton, and JFK (i.e., many of the "king sleeping under the mountain" figures) revive simultaneously on the outset of the third world war, and get into a great drunken brawl in a dive bar.

This is oddly similar to one of the two novels I'm currently working on, although the majority of my story happens before and during the sleeping kings' waking. The very first scene takes place in a dive bar, though. Go go sleeping kings synchronicity!

Continuing my obsession with human error, I picked up "On Being Certain: Believing you are right even when you are not".

This title piqued my curiosity. Once you've finished the book, I hope you'll share your impressions of it! I'm going to add it to my bloated "to-read" list, but if it ends up being a dud I'll remove it.
