Remember when WE used to do this shit?

Neither do I.

In other news, I'm glad we won Iraq.  Remember Iraq?  We totally liberated the fuck out of them, then we WON, so we could leave.

QuoteViolence has been increasing in Iraq in recent months, with more than 1,000 people killed in May alone, making it the deadliest month since the sectarian bloodletting of 2006-07.

But at least we spent the money on important shit, instead of this kind of nonsense:

Funny bit is, this is the sort of shit they're willing to TALK ABOUT, which leads me to wonder what they're hiding.

That is because you have all the wrong values, sir.  You're doing it wrong.

In order:

1.  We hire Russians to do all that shit now, so we can watch NCIS.

2.  If we hadn't left, everything would be FINE, just like it was in 2005.  Take THAT, peaceniks!

3.  If we feed poor kids, they won't have any incentive to not be poor.  This all comes down to bad decision-making on their part.

"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

On the plus side this does put in perspective my ire at the cafeteria for no longer serving mozzarella sticks.

Way I see it, a dead rotting muskox carcass on the front lawn is a dead rotting muskox carcass on the front lawn. Putting a tarp over it ain't gonna help. Knowing about it may suck sometimes but I think we're better for it in the end. Keep on keeping on, Dok.

I think somewhere along the way we stopped giving a shit about one-upping the Russians, which was the real "rocket fuel", if you will, of the US Space program back in the day.  If we hadn't had the Soviet foil, we'd probably still be debating about whether or not to go to the moon.

true the job of science is to tell (pleasant and unpleasant) things she thinks are true.
