Progress can never occur in this land as long as we continue to ignore where we are regressing.
Or where we are just plain drowning in the stench of stagnation.

There is so much that society willingly turns a blind eye to.  Hoping that it will just go away on its own.  Kind of like when your car starts making a funny noise.  You think that it's just going to magically repair itself if you ignore it.  All the while, the fail is spreading to other vital systems and eventually you have a big hunk of metal and plastic that is going nowhere.

And so, that's where we are.  We have lots of hunks of plastic and metal, techno bling, toys, but the masses of bones and flesh, the constructs of human society, are laboring in neutral.  Idling.  Hoping, that the "bad" will just go away.

We dream of utopia, world peace, energy dependence, global harmony, but we only see it happening in the world of makebelieve.  If only it were possible for the Archangel Fred Rogers to fold his cardigan sweater arms around us and make us whole.  That his love for all of us would change the world and make all of societies ills and failings, just ride off, stage left, along with Trolley.

Alas, we all know better.  Fred Rogers is dead.  And so it seems, is a lot of imagination that he and others may have once inspired.  How can humans find the inspiration and drive to want to fix what is fucked?  Some have that inner motivation, but it seems a paltry sum.  How to spread that inner drive.  How to get others to see where they can pitch in.

But, perhaps, the first step is to throw some water in their face.  And to force them to understand the lay of the land.

To understand, the more we throw away, the more the world will refuse to change.

Cynicism is a blank check for failure.

One by one, we break the sheep from their Iron Bar Prisons and expand their imaginations, make them think for themselves. In turn, they break more from their prisons. Eventually, critical mass is reached. Our key word: Resolve. Evangelize with compassion and determination. And realize that there will be few in the beginning. We are hand picking our successors. They are the future of Discordianism. Let us guide our future with intelligence.

This is right, and everyone likes something that is right.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."
