The Black Iron Prison is a collection of essays by various authors discussing such topics as free will, self-liberation, and coping with the madness of the modern era. When the collection was assembled in 2006, the PrincipiaDiscordia.com community distributed it as a simple, minimalistic booklet. It was available on the web in PDF format, and was passed around on forums and through torrents.
In 2007, I championed a new edition of the Black Iron Prison. I felt that the old version's visual presentation was lacking, and some of the essays should be edited in light of feedback our community had received. Several new pieces were included, including two written by me. Art and marginalia were selected to accompany most pieces. The trim, easily digestable volume stands at 36 pages. The general consensus amongst the local Discordian community was that it was an adroit and enriching adaptation of the previous version.
