The Black Iron Prison is a collection of essays by various authors discussing such topics as free will, self-liberation, and coping with the madness of the modern era. When the collection was assembled in 2006, the PrincipiaDiscordia.com community distributed it as a simple, minimalistic booklet. It was available on the web in PDF format, and was passed around on forums and through torrents.

In 2007, I championed a new edition of the Black Iron Prison. I felt that the old version's visual presentation was lacking, and some of the essays should be edited in light of feedback our community had received. I included several new pieces, including two written by me. Art and marginalia were selected to accompany most pieces.
