"I dispose of obsolete meat machines.  Not because I hate them (I do) and not because they deserve it (they do), but because they are in the way and those older ones don't meet emissions codes.  They emit too much.  You don't like them and I don't like them, so spare me the hysteria."

The new-ish album Transitions by Patrick O'Hearn.  I'd post a youtube or something except he seems to be pretty good at staying on top of that and keeping his stuff getting out for free.

Anyway if you're into minimalist-ambient stuff, it's a great album.

DJ Tiesto - I Will Be Here

Shitty Euro-dance 4 lyfe.

I can never tell if you're being facetious or not. If you want real awful eurodance, LMK. I have a particular interest in that genre.

What you've posted is like, electro-progressive or something. You were right about the shitty part though.

I don't know what you mean.  I was sincerely listening to Tiesto.

Now listening to Gackt - Ghost

What an awesome collection of eclectic music.  Not sure how much will make it into my consciousness, but it is certainly mind expanding.

My submission to this is a band I've been very hyped about for the past year or so, Die Antwoord.
Here is an introduction to the band, self produced...

And here is the video that brought them to my attention (also self produced)

Awesome e-mail of the day, Devin Townsend touring near here in December.

If you asked "Who's Devin?" then let me just tell you this: If you have never seen a bald Canadian man make a hand puppet called Ziltoid the Omniscient and use the vengaboys as a warm up track (Sung by said puppet) then you just aren't really living. Oh, and the puppet occasionally shouts "Penis".

(Link to the full album, you'll be able to make an informed decision after about a minute or so.)

If you don't dig that then just google "Devin Townsend" and your favourite genre. He's quite probably done an album in that style. Or get Ocean Machine. You don't love that album you need medical attention

Seriously the difference between the above and this:

Tickets. Fucking. Booked. And Fear Factory for support. Fun times.
Nine naked Men just walking down the road will cause a heap of trouble for all concerned.

Devin Townsend is the Mad Scientist of metal.  He's one of those rare artists who is highly prolific but who's output is still of very high quality.  Dude can acheive a breadth and depth of sound that few others can.  Seriously, HIS name should be synonymous with "wall of sound" and not that ass-munch who produced that Beatles record.

Also this song should be experienced, Deadhead from the Accelerated Evolution album:

DEVIN TOWNSEND IS A GENUINE DEITY IN REASONABLY HUMAN-LIKE FLESH. If I believed in religion, I'd worship Devin Townsend.
