Rev Roger, Sermon #46: The Afterword
« on: November 17, 2006, 05:37:01 pm »
ECH's note: no, TGRR is not back. But he must have felt that this piece of writing was important for y'all to read since he bothered to compose it on the road and email it to me, along with his account information, from some mexican shithole with something like an 800bps connection on its old Tandy computer. The point? PAY ATTENTION. Thank you.

Sonora is like heaven on Earth...if heaven is to you, like it is to me, a great
empty stretch of blasted badlands, covered in mesquite, but with nobody bitching
at you for being too liberal or too conservative or too any other damn thing.

Blasting down the highway in a place like that at 90 miles an hour, with Tom
Petty howling out of the stereo, is as good as place as any to take stock of
your situation.  You got out.  You took control of your life

That is a scary notion, once you come to terms with it.  After almost 4 decades
of assuming someone was in control, you open the cockpit door only to
find that nobody has been flying the plane.  Ho ho! That's right, you
really were free all along!  How come nobody ever tells us this shit?  And how
come I haven't hit a mountain before this?

The temptation, of course, is to return to your seat, pretend it never happened,
and drink yourself silly on those little bottles of gin they have on airplane
refreshment carts.  That's what 99% of humans would do, in this situation.

But the whole POINT of this nihilistic excursion has been to separate ourselves
from the humans...at least most of them, anyway.  So you have to go back to the
cockpit, strap yourself in, and try to learn how the controls work.  But while
you're there, you may as well look down on humanity, see what the little guys
are up to, and maybe crap out the window on them.

Which is what I'm about to do to you.

You see, until you really do it, until you hurl yourself off the precipice, you
really can't see the truth...NOBODY is in control.  Sure, we like to blame the
hippies, or the neocons, or anyone else...but they only have the control that we
allow them to have.  This is why they take such pains to train you.  One side
will shit all over you, until you have no choice but to join the other side.
And then they have you believing one half of the lies, which is ALL THEY NEED
YOU TO DO.

Until you get out from under, you can't see that.  You might have a
glimpse of it, but sooner or later you get worried about Ackbar coming to
blow you up, or Alberto Gonzalez kicking your door in, and POW!  You're right
back in the camp of one side or the other, when what you really ought to
be doing is trying to kick the supports out of BOTH sides - do your part to make
the whole rotten thing come crashing down - for the crime of trying to steal
YOUR Slack‚Ρ’.

Politics has to be the second best thing the CoN ever invented, after religion.
They have managed to use it to convince you that they OWN you, and that you OWE
them for owning you.  Funny part is, everybody bought it, and nobody remembers
how to say "no".

After all, the only politics worth having are Asshat Politics, which aren't
really politics at all, but more along the lines of teaching the workld a lesson
they'll never forget:  Leave me the fuck alone, or I'll KICK YOU IN THE
JIMMY!
Of course, they WON'T leave you alone, because they CAN'T leave you
alone...the programming runs too deep.  So you have to kick, and kick hard.  And
no primate will ever have the respect of The Good Reverend, until they learn to
do just that.  So shut up.  All of you.

Or Kill Me.

TGRR is resting up in Mexico for a week or so, and will then head into New
Mexico, to see what kind of shit he can stir up.

I laughed, I cried, I touched myself
but not in that order
Through me the way to the city of woe, Through me the way to everlasting pain, Through me the way among the lost.
Justice moved my maker on high.
Divine power made me, Wisdom supreme, and Primal love.
Before me nothing was but things eternal, and eternal I endure.
Abandon all hope, you who enter here.

If only more people got this.  The minute you stop playing their game and stop playing your own it all becomes so clear.  I realised this after I got laid off and got the job I wanted.  The day you get out from under the relentless, status quo of blinded ignorance is the day you can start to reclaim yourself.  This government doesn't own us.  We own them.  But, there are too many idiots out there who don't realize it, thus, why we've been continuously pwned for the past 200 years.
Cynicism is a blank check for failure.

I know that feeling. Gets lonely out there on the fringes tho. Eventually you can't resist coming back into the fold, a wolf in sheeps clothing. Messias come out of the wilderness. Saving yourself is never enough.

Right, now can you give us an example of how to do this other then trying to live out On the Road in RL. How do we avoid politics? How does this apply to people of other countries, cultures, ect?

There's a bunch of people that are already doing what you are, some in democartic countries, but most in the third world. You sound more like a migrant worker(or bum) then revolutionary or whatever you think other people should see you as. Bums shit wear they want, eat whatever's available drink whenever they want and most of the time fuck wherever they want.

If you reply to this give me a logical example of how to put this in action, not some cynic's crackpot idea of how to "free yourself from the man."

Logic, the man says.

First of all, the venom in the above post has given you away, Assmunch.  I know whose alt you are, now.  And if I'm wrong, oh well.  I'm gonna fuck with you nonstop, either way.

Second, what I posted works for ME.  You want something that works for YOU?  Then THINK FOR YOURSELF, YOU FUCKING MORON.  Whattaya think this is?  SOUTHERN BAPTISM?

:lulz:

Third, your jealousy is amusing.

Fourth, you have now become my new whipping boy, shitheels.  You want to flame?  No sweat, assmonkey...two can play at that game, and I play it MUCH better than you.  I think we both know that.

Now, for everyone here who ISN'T a shitbag, let me recommend Mexico to any of you, at least at this time of year.  Must be 90F here, right now.

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps your "mission" is to find that logical example for yourself?

Did it ever occur to you that there is no mission? Be a slave or be free. No biggie either way. Whatever pretends to make you happy.

Nice one Silly, that's the best way to look at things.

Rodger, all you did was run away. Of course that's gonna work for you, that'd work for anyone, temporarily at least. You couldn't handle the pressures and problems that occur in America, so you took your american money and ran to mexico. You did jack shit.

Technically, you did free yourself from the machine/man/whatever, but you did it in the weakest, most pathetic way possible. Your always talking about how things need to be changed and how shitty everything is in America and then instead of doing anything about it, you run from it.

All I can do to you, like I do to all things, is laugh. I don't normally attack people like this, unless they're arrogant pricks.

Just stop being an asshole, cocksuker, monkeyfuck, assmunch, 1-2-3-4 fuck a nun and close the door, shitbag, dumbass.

BTW this^ isn't flameing, this is just bitching and moaning becuase your to stupid to come up with a clever comeback.

Holy Shit.  I don't think I've seen Roger called out like this in a WHILE.

Dr. CowAss...I don't know what kind of history you have with The Good Reverend Rog...but in my book, he's a stand up guy.  I know, because he's stood up for me and mine plenty.  I've been backed against a wall, and not to make him sound heroic?  but instead of going for the kill, he handed me a shield and said, "Go to."

Methinks you've been speaking out of the wrong end of the cow ass...

EDIT:  I was going to make fun of you for your inability to read for comprehension (inre: the original post and what it was all about), but then it occurred to me that you DID understand what I was trying to say, and that you're intentionally misreading it to troll.

So I won't bother.  Nice proxy, by the way, but I'm still pretty sure I know who you are.  Since the board is returning to alt-trolldom, though, I'll just leave you to your own devices.

TGRR,
Hasn't got time for this.

"Cowass" knows exactly who I am.  He's not new, he's an alt.

You know what?  I don't need this shit on my (permanent) vacation.

I'm outta here.  I have no interest in taking the time to write a rant, just so sock-puppet boy can intentionally misread it, and drag me into another flamewar.  I think I'll go have fun, instead.  You're all welcome to him.

See ya'll.
