Incidentally, I wear them when I play drums, because they're the only shoes I've found that reallly let you feel the pedal response, and you can spill beer on them without fear.

what i've been wearing those things for years. is the usa behind on these things? actually i prefer the ones that have a sort of fake (?) grass/bamboo kinda thing under my feet and cloth straps instead of plastic cause that goes better with the rest of my clothes.

most important advantage is that is saves you on the amount of socks you use in a week.

but it's not fair because over here they cost 6.95 euros instead of five dollar
(at least, the non-ugly ones)

Yeah, I like the cloth ones cause they don't hurt between the toes.

I have a pair I paid about ten bucks for when I bought them, and I've been wearing them for years upon years. They make me very happy cause they are so damned comfy. I get lots of dirty looks from hipsters and punk kids for wearing them, but hey, I'm not sweating myself to death in Docs in July, so whatever.

the ones i have don't last more than one summer. but, tbh, i don't mind cause 6.95 isn't much for a few months of comfy footwear.

i got two plastic ones but they're big and floppy and bright red, but i have the idea they'll last a lot longer

but, for the *real* consumerwhores, you can also buy half-wooden/leather flipflops for prices in the range of 30-90 euros! yes!
