TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Is revolution possible without people noticing?
It's be interesting, but I am unaware of this happening at any point in history.

Maybe you just didn't notice...

Also, since no one has said it, big props to using a T.Rex song for the title of the OP.

The revolution isn't coming. Everyone is way too lazy to care. The closest the revolution will go is everyone bitching at their water coolers at work on how the government sucks and is ruining things. Then, the lunch half-hour will be over and they'll go back to work.

But, if anything should happen, give me a call.

I fear that this may have some TROOF in it.

Isn't that the reason the BIP is written the way it is? Pages 10 and 11, in particular: http://www.principiadiscordia.com/bip/10.php

hmm...so to spark enough desire for revolution one must take away not freedoms and mortgages but american idol and starbucks?

Verbal Mike

Yes. Take away the drugs, and the cravings will bring change.

Or new drugs.
Unless stated otherwise, feel free to copy or reproduce any text I post anywhere and any way you like. I will never throw a hissy-fit over it, promise.

A big one that seems to be missing, is hope.  Or lack of it.  The worst conditions in the world will not bring people to lift a finger if they think it'll get better.  Democracy in particular is very good as playing this game, after all, next election might be different.

Yay revolution. I srsly can't wait. If there is a revolution it could be just big enough to topple the already rotting US empire and if that happens theres a power vacuum the likes of which we've never seen, throwing us into the new dark ages and a couple centuries of total war.

An if that happens it'll be black market suppliers and war profiteers who reap the real rewards.

Anyone wanna buy a couple dozen SA80's? I'll throw in some ammo and a human slave you can use for target practice. Come see me after teh revolution.

If you haven't been eaten by then
