Let us, as fine free thinking individuals, all consider for a moment that IANAR may in fact have some disease. Surely, there must be something wrong with them. Let us also admit, that a mental illness could, in some cases be more debilitating than some physical ones. IANAR appears to be an extreme case of something, at least in my opinion.

To that end, I think I have a solution to our problems. We need a visible sign, much like existing handicapped signs, for all of IANAR's posts. Thus, we will be able to distinguish its posts from all of the myriad of not-IANAR posts, so that we can, uh, apply a "different set of standards" to their posts.

Most people with disabilities I've met want to fit in, and they don't want their status used as some sort of social crutch. He's using his aspergers as a means of getting pity(?) so people will give him room to flip out at all of us. Fuck thaaaaaaaaat, you can either use the stairs like the rest of us, or you can use the wheelchair ramp. But if you take the ramp, don't expect to be picked first for the PD Calvinball team.

and the thing is, in real life, I'm generally really nice to the less fortunate. I'm totally sympathetic to people who have chemical imbalances. But not while they're screaming at me and telling me how immoral I am.

Last night, someone was telling me about a friend who had Asperger's. Said person was hanging out with some people, and somebody touched her boob. I forget whether in the story this was humorous or uncomfortable. But the next day she was ranting to people about how she was raped.

Friends took the person aside and said, "listen, we know you like the attention, but you can't just go around saying you've been raped."

This is an example where the person's condition caused them to say something awful about someone, and what they said could ruin someone's life. Asperger's does not excuse this. Nobody wants to be known as a rapist.

On Topic:   I don't understand this bullshit about making allowances for other people's lack of ability.  Of course, I' m jaded.  Back in grade school I got saddled with teaching the retards because they ran out of things in my grade level to teach me.  I got to teach these fuckwits how to write.  There was this one spastic fuck with OCD that I took a particular hatred to.  He absolutely refused to write with a pencil that wasn't sharp enough to perform open heart surgery.  So after three days of his bullshit I took away his pencil and gave him a crayon.  Fucker went ape shit, broke a chair and punched a teacher in the mouth before it was all over.  I never laughed so hard at school in my life.
