Christians *have* to sin.

:thanks:

Good analogy LMNO.  Its funny, but when look at many things like this, which are initially blamed on individual action, you usually find a sympathetic structure behind them, tacitly supporting their actions, either through action or inaction.

Oh all the fucking time.  I usually say that in response to tyranny that the silent majority allowed it.  That people are not fed up enough if nothing else gets done.

Also, Lil, LURK MOAR til you get the feel of the place.  Srsly.

As I said, no idea what was there (I never heard from any mod myself *wail*), but I agree when Roger is pissed and doing something, but just calling for his wolves to follow and biting in the asses of people who have nothing to do with all this is pretty much what I consider authority...

Did you just call us "Roger's wolves"?

THAT'S why I said "LURK MOAR."  Chick dudn't get it.

Mayhap, never will.

Lil seems promising actually.

But then, I thought the same about Daruko.

I believe the point can be expressed thusly

We are not fans of authoritarianism.

While fundies are a source of fundamentalism, and one we have often dealt with in the past, that does not mean we should turn a blind eye to authoritarianism elsewhere - especially if it is people professing to be on our side.

Also, lulz.

Also, chaos.

Also, for His Imperial Majesty.

Also, just because.

Ok, here goes; the 50-post suggestion bids me so.

1. Roger is not a leader; he found something we can all have fun with, and offered it up.

2. We aren't pissed, we're enjoying ourselves immensely.  We do this for fun-- hell we do this to ourselves quite often.

3. As usual, the story goes: we go to a forum, post some stuff.  We do not self-censor ourselves.  We advocate freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom to argue, freedom of action.  You can see the results yourself.

What if someone spams or offers child porn?

WTF?

Oh, I get it.  Because we dared speak out against the mods, we must all be closet pedos.

RIGHT?

What if someone spams or offers child porn?

If it's original and at least vaguely funny, we let spam go. For a certain extent. If we feel like it. It's not really a rule, dealt with on a case by case basis.

Child porn is a no-no EVERYWHERE. Got nothing to do with rules, it's got to do with morals, and not getting the guy/s running a site thrown in prison and having their lives ruined.

Child porn =/= freedom of speech or expression, and to suggest it might ever be construed so by anyone is a highly ignorant thing to say when we've actually been very nice to you.

never going to forgive you for that nasty comment about veterans

i have nasty things to say about anyone i can think of, I once bad mouth the pope right in front of the local Arch Bishop while he was taking a piss. Its not personal really, i just wasnt hugged enough as a child.
Look, asshole:  Your 'incomprehensible' act, your word-salad, your pinealism...It BORES ME.  I've been incomprehensible for so long, I TEACH IT TO MBA CANDIDATES.  So if you simply MUST talk about your pineal gland or happy children dancing in the wildflowers, go talk to Roger, because he digs that kind of shit

East Coast Hustle

I get the feeling that you think that was some sort of attempt at humor.

it failed.

as for taking it personally, I'm not. I hope you won't either, when I'm all done with you.

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

Is there a link to the comment he made?

East Coast Hustle

yeah, somewhere.

we were discussing people who call veterans "babykillers" and he said something to the effect of "I don't call them babykillers, I just don't give them any spare change either."

So veterans are either babykillers or bums?
