Geez.  It's a fucking cake thread for chrissake.

Ugh.

PD...lighten the FUCK UP.

/bitchy moment over.

DC and Suu:  I've made eggnog cake before--called "Eggnog Bread"--and every year I make it, my husband complains it's really cake.  Because it is.  Let me see if I can find the recipe.

For now, before eggnog comes out in the stores, eggwhites, sugar, oil and flour are your friend.  I'll look online for something for you I've used before in that arena, too.

I give it away for presents.  It kicks ass...and the trick is to slightly underbake it to keep it moist.

ZOMG EGGNOG CAKE

I am so excited :D

Mesozoic Mister Nigel

Eggnog cake sounds AWESOME.

Related, but not quite the same, my friend Lori gave me a recipe for baked French toast which is really more like bread pudding. You pour a bit of caramel in the bottom of a baking pan, then lay down slices of challah, and then pour beaten eggs and cream with cinnamon and sugar, prepared the way you usually prepare eggs for French toast, over the whole thing. Let it soak a bit, then bake at 350 for 45 minutes. When you bake it, the best part is that the layer between the caramel and the bread becomes a sort of creme brulee.

SWEET BABY JESUS

I must make this.

BADGE OF HONOR

Bleh I hate gooey french toast.
The Jerk On Bike rolled his eyes and tossed the waffle back over his shoulder--before it struck the ground, a stout, disconcertingly monkey-like dog sprang into the air and snatched it, and began to masticate it--literally--for the sound it made was like a homonculus squatting on the floor muttering "masticate masticate masticate".

It's odd, but some desserts are just so much better ooey gooey and warm, some are better crispy or cold and hardish (not gummy).

Bizarre.

Unfortunately, I don't have a recipe because I ate that at some restaurant that is no longer in business. But the sauce was like a liquid glaze/icing made from powdered sugar, bourbon, and vanilla.
Sorry.

No, the game is about logic and problem-solving, the cake was just Valve being witty. You were more than half-way through by the time GlaDOS mentions that you will be baked and then there will be cake, and in fact, I had that whole quote on my AIM profile for a solid MONTH before it became a meme. I'm such teh trendsetter.
