Good question, because I would normally reverse it because I would write:
Hybrid Moments by The Misfits
for example. I usually assume the dash is like "by", some I'm sure I'm fucked up on what people listen to.

With a dash, I put the artist first and track second.  If I write it out, then I reverse it.

Also, I use Foxytunes to actually write out what I'm listening to, and it does it like the first way, with the dash.  For example:
