One of the old cassettes I picked up was James Taylor's Walking Man album. Everybody's heard You've Got a Friend and the few other of his songs that are regularly played into the ground, but I had never heard any but the title song of this album. And man, some of this is fine and funky shit. Me and My Guitar especially, with the offbeat bass drum going the whole time in the background. Makes me want to get up and groove. Good bluegrass influence.

Not listening to anything yet, but I'm going to revisit a band I don't listen to often enough. White Zombie from La Sexorcisto to the break up (two albums plus one soundtrack song). I'm probably not the only one here who has listened to Rob Zombie's career to think that this era was his zenith, with a couple of solo career exceptions.
