Doctorate in physics eh?  That's awesome.  I liked physics but there's no way I'd have the patience or discipline to go that far with it.  Chemistry I could get into and economics.  Best wishes for your pursuit!

Well, I certainly won't suggest that they aren't subject to incompetence.  And certainly they should be addressing their information systems to make sure they aren't raiding the wrong houses.  And I certainly hope they are making some kind of restitution to the families they've impacted with that incompetence.

However, I think bouts of incompetence is different than malicious intent which I read quite often when it comes to the DEA.  They really do a lot of good work domestically such as the medicine disposal program I cited earlier.  That gets a shit ton of medicines out of peoples homes particularly the elderly who will often be targets for break-ins precisely because of the large stores of medicines they tend to have.

As with any government body the average competent person to shit is 1 in 10. It's only fitting that they do occasional good and mostly shit (through the eyes of an outside observer), especially in a country that seems to have a systemically corrupt/broken or ineffectual civil body.

I'm willing to believe that RWHN does actually work in the field of youth prevention, but I remain completely unconvinced that he has any educational qualification to do so.

There you go!  Atta boy!  That was the brand of stubborn denial I was looking for.  I'm glad SOMEONE is still coming through.

Don't worry about it, I've had people calling bullshit when I tell them I am doing my doctorate in physics, which was more baffling then upsetting.

It's baffling because you aren't known for going around spouting idiotic misinformation and propaganda when it comes to physics.

On the other hand, it's completely understandable because most people have a hard time believing that things like "physics" have reached Ireland.
