I'm my own worst enemy tho - when a mod says "pledge" I can't help thinking it's so bullshit and contrived I can't help but goad them with the option of banning the troll du jour. With a bit of luck I'll never be able to sway them, tho. So far so good...

The worst thing about the "pledge" is that people create threads for it, write out huge posts about why they're doing it and then no one actually sticks to it.

A load of people who talk about trolling have it confused with creating forum drama.
I mean that can be part of it, but then you see people getting suckered in by pretty basic techniques here who claim to be trolls.

How is that a contradiction? People change. Sometimes assholes become nicer. Sometimes nice people become assholes. I guess you could say that I'm now taking out my increased assholiness on everyone in the whole fucking world, but it's not like I'm singling this board out to be the target of my increased hatred and bitterness toward everything that exists.

And, oh, boo hoo, ECH keeps bringing up how much he hates the way the board is going, and especially me, and how he's going to make changes to the rules to make it better, but it's really fucking unfair of me to say "so change the rules so you can ban me".
