Immortal Technique - The Third World

Not a big fan of rap, but if more was like this I'd pay much more attention. 20 seconds in was eh... looked at the lyrics and that's some powerful stuff.

Not much compares with Immortal Technique, but see also:

Prefered the second of the three, will have a further listen round on all, always looking for new tunes.

Lyrics all looking interesting, the second may have swayed it somewhat as the video was nicely done. There's also a part of my brain that initally dismisses white rappers as I get visions of vanilla ice movements, which is where a lot of rap tends to devolve to for cash.

I'm looking at you M.C Hammer.

Just wanted to inflict that on you.

Thanks for the reccomendations, in return have this:

Ginger - Another Spinning Fucking Rainbow.

Saw him live last week, I've been a fan of the wildhearts/ginger for years. Vastly under-rated band and yet rare to meet anyone who's a fan.

Went to see them a couple of years ago, it was excellent!

I just downloaded the shit out of some old synthpop band called "Information Society" and it's
completely awesome with zillions of samples and ancient 808:1fap: synthesizer beats and is what i've been listening to all afternoon

especially Mirrorshades about 6 times:

She wore mirrorshades.
And I can't explain the thing about her mirrorshades.
But I know that I can't live without her mirrorshades.
And I kind of lose my mind about her mirrorshades.
And those strange attractors that surround her ...

fuck it, now I require a short skirt, a long jacket AND mirrorshades :argh!:

Information Society were great.  I was never a huge new wave fan but there was something about the IS sound that appealed to me.  Great hair too.

I'm discovering that I might be a bit of a new wave fan without having ever realized it.

Also their more recent albums seem to be not at all that cheesy and would appeal to the clubbing "gimme something more than just dubstep" peoples.

But Mirror Shades is still the best from all of their tracks I've heard so far.
