TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Strip-searches of children are fucking unreal. I'm glad the court ruled it unconstitutional.

And, I mean, fucking IBUPROFEN. I can't believe a girl can't even carry a packet of Midol around anymore. Schools need to stop "protecting" kids and get back to teaching them.

They're protecting themselves.  From lawsuits.

That's what the zero tolerance shit is all about.

And how's that working for you, administrators?   :lulz:

Which makes absolutely zero sense.  To start with, zero tolerance rules aren't allowed if a school accepts federal money.  (Knowing this is an easy way out of an expulsion in my experience).

What is the connection between federal monies and lawsuits? I don't get it.

Really?  How recently was that implemented?

GA,
got into serious shit with zero-tolerance in the sixth grade at a public school.
Q: How regularly do you hire 8th graders?
A: We have hired a number of FORMER 8th graders.

With lawsuits? none, but legal liability and financial damages plenty.

QuoteReally?  How recently was that implemented?

Not sure, this came up oh... 8 years ago in Utah when they tried to institute statewide zero tolerance rules and the teachers union *freaked* because of the potential loss of funding.  So at least that long.

That's kind of a disconnect from Roger's statement, though.

Also, you have the zero-tolerance/federal funding  thing backward. All 50 states adopted zero-tolerance policies in 1994 in order to safeguard their federal funding.

What the fuck are you talking about?  I'm talking liability, and you're talking federal funding.

And link to zero tolerance rules canceling title I funding?

"absolutely zero sense".  Fuck.  Sober up and try again.
