Well, firstly I doubt you'd get the drop on me :)

Of course.  Your own gun makes you immortal, right?  Or you're the next Wyatt Earp.

I never said immortal... I don't think anything will keep you from dying when you die.

Of course,  I'd say being in country run by a government doesn't make you immortal either ;-)

No, I'm talking about how nobody can get the drop on you.  Because you're the bestest gunfighter ever.

This is good input, and exactly what I needed.  I kinda live in a vaccuum when it comes to being an Anarchist and a Discordian, I appear to be all by my lil self here in Crimson Tide country.  I do happen to believe in a form of government, but not one where the Fed is as strong as the one we have now is, and there is more state control and regional government than Big Brother.  This is the point of my views on Discord and chaos as well.  The order and disorder exist together yet apart, there will always be both as long as there are humans to put things into neat lil columns.  So I want to throw a monkey in the wrench and see how the government handles some good old fashioned madness in their order soup.

This. I've grown quite comfortable with it.

...what do i say if asked by an Aneris just where I'm at?

And by that lymric I mean where do most Discordians consider the groups views in the Aneris point of view?  Liberal or Conservative?  I am more an anarchist, and could care less about the two distinctions, but I was curious how you lot might answer such a thing.

My plan is to simply say "Mu"

I think the Aneristc point of view is treating these two categories as real

underneath those labels there are territorial humans, flinging excrement (and other more modern territorial markers) at each other

I think the Eristic point of view is disregarding both of those camps and doing your own thing

which leads, of course, to being a condescending, nitpicky prick who is disgusted by everything

at least, that's where I'm sitting.

the "two americas" vibe has never been more obvious than in the last few months. Even during the sunset of the bush administration, the country felt sort of united (against bush). I'm really hesitant to embrace this distinction because although my political beliefs lean left, I don't like identifying with those spags.

For me, personally I'm a Rational Anarchist. In my opinion government is a problem and rarely a solution. Also, in my opinion, no human has the right to tell another what they can or cannot do. Slavery is slavery, be it one plantation owner, or 60% of our Senators, or 51% of or fellow citizens. When the laws don't get in my way, I obey them. When they get in my way, I ignore them.

Now, I also realize that most people don't want to live that way. Many people don't seem to have the wherewithal to take care of themselves due to physical, psychological, educational or social constraints. In the US, that means they basically get a choice between the GOP and the Democrats. So when I vote, I tend to vote democrat, because  they seem the least terrible of the choices and generally appear more interested in providing services for people that need it, rather than trying to legislate morality and invade foreign nations.

M'kay.

GIMME YOUR SHOES AND WHATEVER YOU'VE GOT IN YOUR PANTRY!

Cause without any kind of government, or laws, that's exactly what I'd be doing. I don't know about you.
Of course, I may not really want the food in your pantry cause without the FDA god only knows what the hell you're really eating. (yes I know, we don't always know what we're eating as it is, but can you imagine how much worse it could be?)

That gun is awesome  :fap:

Also, rational anarchy doesn't have a lot to do with regular anarchy, its more a fancy word for libertarianism (which is a different set of issues).

I would never expect you to agree with me. I'm just sayin' anarchism, rational or otherwise has nothing to do with a completely lawless society. "Gimme Your Sammich" is a false argument. There are plenty of good ones against anarchism, that's not one of them.
