So.

I have sent an unsolicited email to the moderator. (You know who you are.)

--Whew!--

I am going to write a post about what I, as a noob, gathered about the "discordian attitudeTM". If you don't like me, flame me. (Negative attention is attention too. And I LOVE IT!)
If I would be allowed to stay on this forum:
•   I wouldn't think all that much about what people say about me. I wouldn't look to others for answers. I wouldn't waste my time advising Her on how to do it. (She knows. She lies.)
•   I would pick the kind of friends who can see through the facade.
•   I wouldn't chase distant horizons. Even if I see Leprechaun gold placed there.
•   I would give up all thoughts about getting even. Even when She hurts me. Especially when She hurts me.  Because She would want me to get involved by meditating revenge against "them" and stay in "their" loop forever. (The labyrinth! The labyrinth!)
•   I wouldn't dream of watching a televised love saga or something equally stupid on TV that would stifle my imagination.
•   I wouldn't think about respect and how no one is giving me any. I wouldn't try to acquire more money.
•   I wouldn't forgive a man his iniquities just because he says that he "loves" me. Or that he is really handsome and can move his lips to resemble a "smile". Or has wonderful canines set in his jaw.
•   I wouldn't lie to protect the rich. I wouldn't sneer at the uneducated. Education is just Her way of confounding men and women. The uneducated are better off by far.
•   I wouldn't mind being called an animal. I wouldn't mind being called a wanton whore or a sly fox or a broad. Labels hold you down. Misrepresentation sets you free.
•   Curiosity "kills" the cat. Kapische? (Now what was that about the 'roos?)
•   I wouldn't slobber over or steal interesting remarks made by complete strangers, who may sound good, but, then again, are people I know nothing about.

Can I please, please, please, join your forum?

Leprechaun gold does wonders for that special part of Discordian anatomy.

Hello, new poster who has apparently been around almost twice as long as I have!

Noob here. Not really sure what to say or whatever... oh well, here's a shot:
I'm pretty much interested but don't have a full grasp on a lot of the concepts yet (lurk moar, yes?). I came here expecting to find something like pinealism and instead stumbled upon intelligent life. Philosophy student, for the record.

I found the PD about a year and a half ago through a long chain of increasingly individualistic ideologies. (Left-Hand Paganism was the big one, then I ended up thinking about it, reading into Discordianism again a couple months ago, and here I am.)
Hm, where do I go from here?

Are you still a "left-handed pagan", or have the drugs worn off?

Well, if you want to start a thread, say in Principia Discussion, about some of the concepts you are still not sure of, then a few people will probably pitch in and give you their thoughts on them.

No, no, RCH..."Philosophy Student" is Californian for "unemployed and unskilled".  It's like being an "actor", only without the job bussing tables.
