Japan has finally invented EXTREME SLAPSTICK

In a recent episode, the Japanese television game show had one contestant sitting in an office with three other men.

As the ominous theme music to 24 played over the top, viewers watched him sit talking to the three.

Suddenly the windows smash, the sound of gunfire echoes through the room, and blood spurts from the chests of the men around him.

As they collapse, he crawls in obvious terror to the door, scrabbling in fear against it when he finds it locked.

This trauma-inducing experience is billed as comedy, with a studio audience laughing merrily over the top.

US television has seen similar shows – notably Scare Tactics, which faked serial killer attacks, live burials and UFO abductions – but Panic Face King's startlingly lifelike and brutal images are still shocking.

One blogger on Boing Boing is unimpressed. Mark Frauenfelder says: "The producers of this program ought to be fined and locked up, if you asked me."

reminds me of a spanish class in which we were made to watch Mexico's Funniest Home Videos

it was 25 minutes of little girls being dragged through rocks by a panicked donkey, people on fire, people diving into empty swimming pools



it was pretty intense, and I was a little bit disturbed

but I gotta admit

those mexicans have a great sense of humor

I think that my reaction when I first saw this was a perfect example of horromirth.

I seriously laughed until I couldn't stop screaming.

They have a holiday which is celebrated by strapping exploizes to sledgehammers and detonating them by slamming the ground.

If we do not start doing the same, ASAP, they will have superior humans in the next few hundred generations, the way they're provoking Darwin, Murphy, and Finagle.

I want to see the looks on the viewers faces when one of the victims has a heart attack and dies on the spot. Those expressions just might have me in stitches

I thought it was pretty good, though I saw the extended version on Saturday.  I like how they dealt with Nick Griffin, that was very well played.
