It will have a chilling effect but there will still be good reporters out there willing to stick their neck out... I hope. I don't think that there is a chance in hell this would be stand up in a court of law. It's so blatantly un-Constitutional. Then again, the courts aren't doing much about the "state secrets" excuse that both Bush and Obama have been very found of abusing.

Erm, sources aren't protected under federal law as it is.  This makes the bill somewhat useless, but there's no erosion.

The First Amendment is being used here in Pgh to harass women who try to get medical care. Recently, an 8-foot protester buffer was declared an undue restriction on the 1st Amendment.

Also: all people do with speech is Twitter and PD.com. As far as I'm concerned, fuck the 1st Amendment.
