Sadly, this isn't the first time I've heard this idea.  I can't find source links, because the Google machine is too clogged up with the above media event, but the idea was that a black person who grew up outside of the US "doesn't understand" the persistent racism of American culture, and therefore is a poor representative for blacks who were raised in the US.

I ain't buying it, but it's unfortunately not a new thing.

The best part?

Liberal commentators frequently whine about Politifact and similar sites as well.  Not to the point of banning them, admittedly, but they have the same level of disdain for them that RedState is showing.

So basically, Dems and Repubs, by and large, don't like "fact-checkers", claim they slavishly report in the interests of the other side, and declare their intent to ignore them.
